Kellindra
Zackery
American swingman Kellindra Zackery (182-G/F) put on an amazing game in the last round for Viernheim, receiving a Eurobasket.com 2.Bundesliga Player of the Week award for round 7.
The -year old player was the main contributor (26 points, six rebounds and two assists) to her team's victory, helping them to crush Jahn Muenchen (3-4) with 18-point margin 81-63. Viernheim is placed at 6th position in German 2.Bundesliga. Viernheim is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-4 record. Zackery turned to be Viernheim's top player in her first season with the team. Former Newman University star has very solid stats this year. Zackery is league's best scorer averaging so far 27.8ppg. Zackery is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 11.7rpg) and averages impressive 53.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was -year old American Jenele Peterson (174-G/F) of Goettingen. Peterson had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Goettingen to edge slightly higher-ranked Opladen (3-4) 68-65. Goettingen's 8th position in North has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Peterson is a newcomer at Goettingen, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.4ppg (#8).

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Jocelyn Bailey (182-G) of Wuerzburg (#3). Bailey scored 23 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). Despite Bailey's great performance Wuerzburg lost 54-57 to #2 ranked Heidelberg. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Wuerzburg had another "accident". It may be a crucial gamestill good, but 1st lost game is hopefully really an accident. Bailey's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Bailey has a very solid season. In 5 games in Germany she scored 15.2ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Laura Rahn (186-F-86) of Saarlouis - 24 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Noemie Rouault (180-F-95) of Berlin - 19 points and 10 rebounds
6. Brittany Moore (168-G-89) of Quakenbrueck - 29 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Hannah Sunley-Paisley (186-C) of Quakenbrueck - 15 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Candace Williams (183-F-88) of Chemnitz - 23 points and 9 rebounds
9. Stefanie Grigoleit (186-F-89) of Keltern - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Kandace Davis (185-F-88) of Quakenbrueck - 11 points and 10 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
