American point guard Jared Jordan (188-PG-84) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Telekom Baskets, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. The 28-year old player got a double-double of 22 points and 10 assists, while his team edged out Ratiopharm (#1, 7-2) 107-103. Telekom Baskets is placed at 9th position in German BBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Telekom Baskets will need more victories to improve their 4-3 record. In the team's last game Jordan had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Telekom Baskets and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former Marist College star has very solid stats this year. Jordan is league's best passer with 7.6apg. Jordan is in league's top in and averages impressive 71.9% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was 28-year old American LaQuan Prowell (203-SF-84, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) of LTi 46ers. Prowell had a very good evening with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as LTi 46ers was edged by the higher-ranked Art.Dragons (#5, 5-3) 86-82. LTi 46ers are still at the very bottom. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory LTi 46ers managed to get this year. Prowell is a newcomer at LTi 46ers, but is already one of team's top players.
Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Dwayne Anderson (198-F-86) of s.Oliver Baskets (#10). Anderson showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of s.Oliver Baskets, leading his team to a 72-62 win against the lower-ranked Walter Tigers (#15, 2-5). s.Oliver Baskets needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Anderson has a great season in Germany. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.6rpg (9th best).
