The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Duesseldorf Baskets as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Duesseldorf Baskets defeated 8th ranked BV Chemnitz 99 at home 83-69. The game without a history. Duesseldorf Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Duesseldorf Baskets outrebounded BV Chemnitz 99 33-22. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Liberian forward Patrick Flomo (203-80, college: Ohio) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized Croatian guard Marin Petric (190-80) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American guard John Bynum (191-78, college: Metro St.) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds for BV Chemnitz 99. Duesseldorf Baskets have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. BV Chemnitz 99 at the other side dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. BV Chemnitz 99 will play next round against strong MLP Academics Heidelberg trying to get back on the winning streak. Duesseldorf Baskets will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Finke Baskets in Paderborn.
Leading BG Goettingen (7-3) recorded its third loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by third ranked BG Karlsruhe (7-3) 74-65. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of BG Goettingen. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Forward Monyea Pratt (195-85, college: Stillman) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Cuxhaven BasCats players scored in double figures.
