Joshua Young
Joshua Young (185-PG-88, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Drake) is a 24 year old 185cm guard from Lawton, Oklahoma that is playing hiss econd season for the Walter Tigers Tuebingen. He played at Drake from 2006-2010. In his senior year, he played 32 games: 14.4ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.7apg, 1.0spg, FGP: 44.0%, 3PT: 35.8%, FT: 73.0%. Last season he came to Germany and played for Bayer Giants Leverkusen (Germany-ProB, starting five): 11 games: 26.7ppg, 6.4rpg, 3.0apg, 2.3spg, FGP: 45.2%, 3PT: 45.3%, FT: 79.0%. Last season for Tuebingen he played 34 games: 10.3ppg, 2.9rpg, 2.6apg, FGP: 52.5%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 76.0% He spoke to Eurobasket before the game against the Fraport Skyliners.

A tough 78-77 against Alba Berlin. Are these the type of games when you ask your self after 40 minutes where the Tuebingen basketball god was?

The game was in our hands to lose. We only needed one more defensive stop to seal the victory. Unfortunately, we weren't able to make it.

Alba Berlin led 76-63 with 3.19 to play and the Tigers went on a wicked 14-0 run to lead 77-76 with 13 seconds to play. How loud was the Paul Horn arena and how important were the fans in this phase?

The arena was so loud. The closer we got to tying the game, the louder it got. We definitely fed off of their energy.

What was key in the 14-0 run to getting the lead with 13 seconds to play?

The key to the run was just us turning up the defensive pressure. We were able to press, force turnovers, and convert them into easy buckets.

Describe the game winning shot by Heiko Schaffartzik?

Honestly, I didn't really see the play. I knew for sure that Dashaun was going to want to take the shot so I was denying him. All I saw was the ball in the air and ultimately, it go through the hoop.

The next game is against the Fraport Skyliners. How surprised are you that they are in 17th place?

Frankfurt is a solid team every year. I don't think their record really tells how good of a team they are.

You could be matching up against Devin Gibson. What do you remember from his game in the win in Frankfurt last season?

Devin is a solid PG. He does a great job of getting to the rim and finishing. We will have to limit that as much as possible.

You made the jump from the PRO B with Leverkusen to the BEKO BBL. Will your ex teammate Josh Parker follow you soon?

Josh is really playing well this season. I think he will be the next player to make that same jump.

What was the last DVD movie that you saw?

Last DVD I saw was Slumdog Millionaire. It was a great movie.

Thanks Josh for the chat.

Travis Thompson Drives The Fraport Skyliners Juniors Past The Dragons Rhondorf 74-69 - 3 hours ago

Last year was a season to forget for the Dragons Rhondorf as they finished dead last in the German Pro A and were regulated back to the Pro B, a place where they had played many seasons against the Fraport Skyliners Juniors.
