Joshua Young (185-PG-88, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Drake) is a 24 year old 185cm guard from Lawton, Oklahoma that is playing hiss econd season for the Walter Tigers Tuebingen. He played at Drake from 2006-2010. In his senior year, he played 32 games: 14.4ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.7apg, 1.0spg, FGP: 44.0%, 3PT: 35.8%, FT: 73.0%. Last season he came to Germany and played for Bayer Giants Leverkusen (Germany-ProB, starting five): 11 games: 26.7ppg, 6.4rpg, 3.0apg, 2.3spg, FGP: 45.2%, 3PT: 45.3%, FT: 79.0%. Last season for Tuebingen he played 34 games: 10.3ppg, 2.9rpg, 2.6apg, FGP: 52.5%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 76.0% He spoke to Eurobasket after the huge 96-94 win in Bonn.

Congrats on the big 96-94 win in Bonn. Was this your biggest 2012 Christmas present? Where does it rate with your 2012 presents?

I've been in need of some new cologne, so one of my guys bought me a whole array of different brands. I would say it was one of the nicest gifts of the year. It was something I wanted.

Bonn had lost five of its last six games and were without Patrick Ewing jr. They didnt seem like a weak team without him did they?

Not at all. Bonn is a strong team with really good players. I think they will be just fine.

Bonn led with as much as 12 points in the fourth quarter, but the Tigers always stayed on their heels. Tyrone Nash won the game with a shot with two seconds to play. Describe that play and what was key for getting the win?

Well Reggie got a defensive rebound and we just took off in transition. He was able to find Ty on the wing for a layup and an and-one. The key for us was just making the big plays when we needed to. We hadn't played particularly well but it's all about finding ways to win.

How important was it that the Tigers showed that in the last two games it wasnt always the same guy that stepped up like Kenny Frease against Frankfurt and Tyrone Nash against Bonn? The team moral seems to be very strong at the moment.

We have so many guys that can step up for this team. I think it will be a common theme the whole season. This definitely gives us a boost of confidence heading into our next game.

This is the third two game winning streak of the season for Tuebingen. Does the team have the right momentum going into the derby against ratiopharm Ulm?

I think so. Hopefully, we are starting to come together a little better and really be a team. We will try to use as much momentum as we can to close out this first half of the season.

Do you remember seeing Allan Ray play on TV when he played for the Boston Celtics? Do you sometimes feel that you have come a long way playing in the PRO B two years ago to playing against ex NBA players now?

I remember Allan Ray all the way back at Villanova. He's a great player. I feel blessed to be in the position I am in today. I'm thankful that I was able to make that jump.

What is most special about the ratiopharm Ulm derby? What still remains in your thoughts from last seasons game in Tuebingen?

I love how intense the rivalry is With ratiopharm Ulm. The atmosphere at those games is always amazing. Last year, I remember them beating us both times. Hopefully, we can change that this time around.

What is your favorite Christmas movie that you enjoy watching?

A Christmas Story. It's a classic.

Thanks for the chat Josh.
