There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most important game in the last round took place in Bayreuth between third ranked ALBA Berlin (10-5) and thirteenth ranked BBC Bayreuth (7-9) on Sunday night. ALBA Berlin was crushed by BBC Bayreuth on the road 90-65. The game without a history. BBC Bayreuth led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American-Jamaican Bryan Bailey (185-80, college: Bucknell) fired 16 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Italian-American forward Joe Trapani (203-88, college: Boston Coll.) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. BBC Bayreuth's coach Marco van den Berg felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Zach Morley (203-83, college: Wisconsin) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. BBC Bayreuth moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Walter Tigers and Phoenix Hagen. ALBA Berlin lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. BBC Bayreuth is looking forward to face league's second-placed EWE Baskets in Oldenburg in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. ALBA Berlin will play at home against New Yorker Phantoms in Braunschweig and is hoping to win this game.
Bottom-ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the three-game losing streak. This time they won against ninth-ranked s Oliver Baskets in Wuerzburg 79-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of s Oliver Baskets. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward John Turek (206-83, college: Nebraska) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. Kammron Taylor contributed with 14 points for the winners. Guard LaMont McIntosh (190-82, college: Georgia St.) replied with 17 points for s Oliver Baskets. s Oliver Baskets' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. EnBW Ludwigsburg (5-11) moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Fraport SKY. s Oliver Baskets at the other side keep the ninth position with eight games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against higher ranked Walter Tigers (#12) in Tuebingen in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. s Oliver Baskets will have a break next round.
Leader Brose Bask. delivered the thirteenth victory on Sunday night. This time they beat 12th ranked New Yorker Phantoms (6-10) 83-67 in Braunschweig. Worth to mention a quality performance of Sharrod Ford who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side Eric Boateng responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Brose Bask. have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-2 record. Loser New Yorker Phantoms dropped to the fourteenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with MBC. Brose Bask. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. New Yorker Phantoms will play against ALBA Berlin (#4) and hope to secure a win.
The game in Bremerhaven supposed to be also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Artland Dragons (10-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (8-9).
