Yannick Crowder (206-F-90, college: Florida A&M) has joined the USC Heidelberg Academics, local newspaper Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung tells. Crowder is a 22-year-old forward/center from Stone Mountain, Georgia. The Academics will be his first stop in European basketball. From 2008 to 2012 he attended Florida A&M University (NCAA Division 1). He appeared in 30 games throughout the 2011-12 campaign, averaging pretty solid stats: 8.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.1 blocked shots per contest. His job will be to replace Taylor Rohde (205-F/C-90, college: Alaska-Anch.) who left Heidelberg for Ehingen recently. While Rohde had 7.7 points and 3.4 boards a game for the Academics, he scored 18 points and pulled down seven rebounds in his debut for the Ehingen Steeples.

A.J. Rudowitz (198-F-88, college: Stonehill) has committed his future to BBL newcomer SC Rasta Vechta by signing a contract extension. Rasta also unveiled the signing of Urule Igbavboa (203-C-87, college: Valparaiso).Rudowitz will enter his third season with Rasta.
