Experienced naturalized American Chris Heinrich (208-C-77) had a great game in the last round for Oldenburg and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com ProB Player of the Week award for round 14. The 35-year old center had a double-double of 29 points and eleven rebounds, while his team edged out Herten Lions (#3, 10-4) 96-92. Oldenburg is placed at 4th position in American ProB. Oldenburg is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-7 record. It's Heinrich's second year at Oldenburg and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Chris Heinrich averages this season 16.5ppg and 7.6rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 31-year old American forward Robert Franklin (195-F-81) of Recklinghausen. Franklin impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he lead Recklinghausen to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Dorsten (#7, 6-8) 90-69. This victory allowed Recklinghausen to move up to 5th position in North. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 7-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Franklin is one of the most experienced players at Recklinghausen and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.1ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 11.5rpg and 3.9apg.
The third best performed player last round was American Will Taylor (200-F-89) of Herten Lions (#3). Taylor got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds . Despite Taylor's great performance Herten Lions lost 92-96 to #4 ranked Oldenburg. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Herten Lions needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in North. Their record is 10 victories and 4 lost games. Taylor has a great season in Germany. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.8ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 9.6rpg (6th best).
