Chanita
Jordan
American Chanita Jordan (196-C-87, agency: Gamble Sports Management) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Oberhausen and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 25-year old center had a double-double of 15 points and twenty four rebounds, while her team crushed Osnabruck (#8, 7-6) with 16-point margin 68-52. Oberhausen maintains the 10th position in German DBBL. Oberhausen is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-9 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Jordan as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Bowie State graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jordan is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 2.4bpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was -year old American guard Samantha Whitcomb (178-G) of Wolfenbuettel. Whitcomb impressed basketball fans with 27 points and 5 rebounds. Of course she lead Wolfenbuettel to another comfortable win 78-62 over the lower-ranked BG 89 Avides (#9, 5-8) being unquestionably team leader. Wolfenbuettel's 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 9-4 record is not bad at all. Whitcomb is a newcomer at Wolfenbuettel and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.0ppg (#5). She also registered 6.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Wolfenbuettel's star - international forward Charmaine Callahan (183-F/C-83). Callahan scored 25 points. She was another key player of Wolfenbuettel, helping her team with a 78-62 easy win against the lower-ranked BG 89 Avides (#9, 5-8). Wolfenbuettel needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 4 lost games. Callahan has a very solid season. In 10 games in Germany she scored 8.6ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Mariesa Greene (183-F-87) of Freiburg - 16 points and 12 rebounds
5. Tamara Tatham (185-F-85) of Halle - 21 points and 15 rebounds
6. Samantha Baranowski (190-F-90) of Marburg - 17 points and 10 rebounds
7. Emma Cannon (188-F-89) of Wasserburg - 16 points and 11 rebounds
8. Teya Wright (185-F-89) of Herner - 25 points and 8 rebounds
9. Jahzinga Tracey (185-G/F) of Freiburg - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Vanessa House (170-G-88) of BG 89 Avides - 21 points and 9 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
