Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Germans who are currently playing abroad.

Romy Baer
Romy Baer
#1. This week's number one is an international forward Romy Baer (187-87, currently plays in France). She contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Nantes Reze (9-8) 75-57 in the French LFB in Sunday night's game. Baer scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 17 minutes on the court. Union Lyon Basket Feminin (11-6) is placed fourth in the LFB. Baer is currently fourth on the league's list of most steals with 2.1spg. She also averaged so far 7.6ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.2apg, 2FGP: 34.2%, 3FGP: 31.4% and FT: 85.3% in the 17 games she played so far. Baer is currently a member of the German senior national team.

Mara Greunke
Mara Greunke
#2. Second place goes to former U20 international power forward Mara Greunke (185-91, currently plays in Canada). She was the major contributor in a Western Ontario's victory against the Thunderwolves (6-7) 80-68 in the Canadian university league CIS last Friday. Greunke scored 14 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists. The Western Ontario has 7-6 record this season. This year Greunke averages: 3.5ppg, 3.5rpg, 2FGP: 48.8%, 3FGP: 33.3%. She played for the German U20 national team in 2010.

Petra Glaser
Petra Glaser
#3. The German player who performed third best last week abroad was former international power forward Petra Glaser (196-81, college: Long Beach St., currently plays in Sweden). Glaser led Kvarnby to an easy victory against the league leader IK Eos (13-1) crushing them 84-62 in the Swedish Damligan on Wednesday night. She recorded 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 24 minutes. Kvarnby BBK (8-10) is placed seventh in the Damligan. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Glaser has relatively good stats this year: 12.9ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 47.0%, 3FGP: 9.1% and FT: 86.2% in the 18 games. She played for the German national team two years ago.

Christiane Fischer
Christiane Fischer
#4. Guard Christiane Fischer (168-90, currently plays in Canada), who plays in the Canadian CIS could not help the Manitoba University (10-5) to beat the Mount Royal (5-9). She used to play for the German U20 national team back in 2010.

One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has German passport:

#1. Melina Muller (175-F-81, currently plays in Hungary), who plays in the Hungarian A Division could not help MBK Eurl.Vasas (1-17) to beat Bacsbasket (10-8). DBBL Round 18: Eisvogel Freiburg defeat Gruner Stern Keltern in the closest game of the week - 1 day ago
The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 4 rounds. The most exciting game of round 18 in the DBBL took place in Freiburg. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-best Gruner Stern Keltern (15-3) to tenth ranked Eisvogel Freiburg (6-12) 69-67 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the 14-game winning streak of Gru...   [read more]
