Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Germans who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Romy Baer (187-87, currently plays in France). She contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Nantes Reze (9-8) 75-57 in the French LFB in Sunday night's game. Baer scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 17 minutes on the court. Union Lyon Basket Feminin (11-6) is placed fourth in the LFB. Baer is currently fourth on the league's list of most steals with 2.1spg. She also averaged so far 7.6ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.2apg, 2FGP: 34.2%, 3FGP: 31.4% and FT: 85.3% in the 17 games she played so far. Baer is currently a member of the German senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former U20 international power forward Mara Greunke (185-91, currently plays in Canada). She was the major contributor in a Western Ontario's victory against the Thunderwolves (6-7) 80-68 in the Canadian university league CIS last Friday. Greunke scored 14 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists. The Western Ontario has 7-6 record this season. This year Greunke averages: 3.5ppg, 3.5rpg, 2FGP: 48.8%, 3FGP: 33.3%. She played for the German U20 national team in 2010.

   #3. The German player who performed third best last week abroad was former international power forward Petra Glaser (196-81, college: Long Beach St., currently plays in Sweden). Glaser led Kvarnby to an easy victory against the league leader IK Eos (13-1) crushing them 84-62 in the Swedish Damligan on Wednesday night. She recorded 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 24 minutes. Kvarnby BBK (8-10) is placed seventh in the Damligan. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Glaser has relatively good stats this year: 12.9ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 47.0%, 3FGP: 9.1% and FT: 86.2% in the 18 games. She played for the German national team two years ago.

   #4. Guard Christiane Fischer (168-90, currently plays in Canada), who plays in the Canadian CIS could not help the Manitoba University (10-5) to beat the Mount Royal (5-9). Fischer's contribution was not very remarkable in Thursday's game. She scored only 3 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. The Manitoba University (#4) was badly defeated 77-61 on the road by the Mount Royal. Fischer's overall stats this season are: 2.9ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5spg. She used to play for the German U20 national team back in 2010.


One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has German passport:

   #1. Melina Muller (175-F-81, currently plays in Hungary), who plays in the Hungarian A Division could not help MBK Eurl.Vasas (1-17) to beat Bacsbasket (10-8). Muller scored only 4 points in 11 minutes. The bottom-ranked MBK Eurl.Vasas was badly defeated 72-53 on the road by the higher-ranked (#5) Bacsbasket. It was MBK Eurl.Vasas' fourth consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended. It's Muller's first season with the team. This year her overall stats are: 1.7ppg and 1.2rpg in the 18 games she played so far.

27-year old power forward Svenja Greunke (188-F/C-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for Marburg and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11. She had the game-high 27 points adding eight rebounds for Marburg in her team's victory, helping them to beat Halle (#9, 3-7) in overtime 86-77. Marburg is placed at 4th position in German DBBL. Naturalized Bulgarian Gergana Georgieva (181-G-87) had an amazing evening in the last round for Mainz and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com 2.Bundesliga Player of the Week award for round 11. The 29-year old guard had a double-double of 32 points and seventeen rebounds, while her team lost the game against Bad Hombur (#3, 6-3) 69-83.
