Bradley
Buckman
It didnt take 2008 Beko BBL cup winner Artland Dragons long to find a replacement for departed ex NBA player Ryan Gommes by hauling in ex Skyliner Bradley Buckman (203-F-84, college: Texas). Buckman is a 29 year old 203cm forward from Austin, Texas that is playing his seventh professional season and recieved a contract until the end of the season. It is funny that Buckman played his last game for Frankfurt against Artland in 2010 after Gordon herbert chose Joe Dabbert over the American and now Buckman will play his first game as a Dragon against his ex team. Buckman had a strong season in Turkey last season and was promoted this season to the best league in Europe the ACB in Spain and played for Cajasol Banca Civica Sevilla playing five games averaging 5,0ppg and 6,2rpg in 24 minutes per game. "Brad has alot of experience in good leagues in Europe. He can play with his face or back to the basket. We hope that he will give us stability and improve our rebound", expressed Artland Dragons head coach Stefan Koch. Last season he played for Tofas Bursa (Turkey-TBL): 31 games: 13.7ppg, 7.6rpg, 1.3apg, FGP: 55.3%, 3PT: 35.4%, FT: 70.7%.

Buckman started his basketball career at Texas in 2002 playing there until 2006 playing a total of 129 NCAA games. In 2006-2007, he started his professional basketball career for Austin Toros (D-League): 42 games: 6.6ppg, 4.3rpg, FGP: 38%, 3PT: 27.5%, FT: 71.2%. In 2007-2008, he played for Univ Mobitelco Cluj Napoca (Romania-Div.A, starting five): 5 games: 16.0ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.4apg, Blocks-1 (2.6bpg). In 2008-2009, he played for Keravnos Strovolou (Cyprus-Division A): EuroChallenge: 4 games: 4.8ppg, 3.8rpg; Cypriot League: 9.2ppg, 4.5rpg, left team in Dec.'08, in Jan.'09 moved to Altshuler Saham Galil Gilboa (Israel-Premier League): 16 games: 7.3ppg, 4.6rpg, FGP: 52.5%, 3PT: 31.0%, FT: 51.9%. In 2009-2001, he played for Kepez Bld Antalya (Turkey-TBL, starting five): 25 games: 10.3ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.0apg, FGP: 59.8%, 3PT: 34.6%, FT: 68.8%. Virgil Matthews Stays Faithful To BV Chemnitz - 15 minutes ago

Virgil Matthews (188-PG-83, college: Montana, agency: Elevate Agency) continues to serve up top Pro A stats since years and one has to wonder when the American would get rewarded with a contract by a Beko BBL team. In an interview with eurobasket recently, Matthews had this to say about his chances reaching the BBL and the future. ". I have watched a l
