We bring you last week's top performances from Germans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Mara Greunke
Mara Greunke
#1. This week's number one is former U20 international power forward Mara Greunke (185-91, currently plays in Canada). She led Western Ontario to an easy victory against the Guelph (5-10) 89-70 in the Canadian university league CIS in Saturday night's game. Greunke recorded 16 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocks in 32 minutes on the court. The Western Ontario has 8-7 record this season. This year Greunke averages: 4.7ppg, 3.8rpg, 2FGP: 50.8%, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 66.7% in the 15 games she played so far. She played for the German U20 national team three years ago.

Petra Glaser
Petra Glaser
#2. Second place goes to former international power forward Petra Glaser (196-81, college: Long Beach St., currently plays in Sweden). Glaser led Kvarnby to an easy victory against the league leader IK Eos (13-2) crushing them 84-62 in the Swedish Damligan last Wednesday. She recorded 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Kvarnby BBK (9-10) is placed seventh in the Damligan. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Glaser has relatively good stats this season: 12.8ppg, 5.6rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 47.2%, 3FGP: 9.1% and FT: 85.3%. She played for the German national team in 2011.

Lea Mersch
Lea Mersch
#3. The German player who performed third best last week abroad was former international guard Lea Mersch (170-87, currently plays in Czech Republic), who plays in the Czech Republic ZBL. Mersch could not help DSK Karlin (3-17) to beat VSE Praha (10-10). It was not her best game last Saturday. Mersch scored only 3 points in 21 minutes. DSK Karlin was crushed 82-58 on the road by the higher-ranked (#7) VSE Praha. It was DSK Karlin's sixth consecutive loss in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Mersch's first season with the team. This year her overall stats are: 5.2ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 31.5% and FT: 63.8% in the 19 games. Mersch played for the German national team two years ago.
