Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Germans who are currently playing abroad.

Petra Glaser
Petra Glaser
#1. This week's number one is former international power forward Petra Glaser (196-81, college: Long Beach St., currently plays in Sweden), who plays in the Swedish Damligan. She could not help Kvarnby (9-13) in their last game. Despite Glaser's very good performance Kvarnby was edged 77-76 at home by the leading Telge. She was the second best scorer with 18 points in 31 minutes on the court. It was Kvarnby's third consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended. It's Glaser's first season with the team. Glaser has relatively good stats this year: 13.0ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 48.0%, 3FGP: 7.7% and FT: 82.9% in the 22 games she played so far. She played for the German senior national team two years ago.

Lea Mersch
Lea Mersch
#2. Second place goes to former international guard Lea Mersch (170-87, currently plays in Czech Republic). Mersch contributed to a DSK Karlin's victory against the sixth-ranked VS Praha (10-11) 67-56 in the Czech Republic ZBL last Saturday. She recorded 8 points. DSK Basketball Karlin (5-17) is placed second from the bottom (#11) in the ZBL. The Regular Season already ended. This season Mersch averages: 5.5ppg, 3.3rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 33.9% and FT: 62.0%. She played for the German national team in 2011.

Mara Greunke
Mara Greunke
#3. The German player who performed third best last week abroad was former U20 international power forward Mara Greunke (185-91, currently plays in Canada). Greunke managed to help Western Ontario in a victory against the Waterloo (4-15) crushing them 73-30 in the Canadian university league CIS on Wednesday night. She scored only 4 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in 26 minutes. The Western Ontario has 11-9 record this season. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Greunke's overall stats are: 5.1ppg, 4.4rpg, 2FGP: 50.6% and FT: 66.7% in the 19 games. She played for the German U20 national team three years ago.

Christiane Fischer
Christiane Fischer
#4. Guard Christiane Fischer (168-90, currently plays in Canada) was not able to help the Manitoba University (14-7) in their game against the Saskatchewan (14-6) in the Canadian CIS. Fischer scored 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. The Manitoba University (#3) was defeated 72-62 on the road by the Saskatchewan. Her team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Fischer's total stats this season are: 3.5ppg, 2.9rpg, 1.5apg and 1.4spg. She used to play for the German U20 national team back in 2010.

Nadine Grieb
Nadine Grieb
#5. Former U20 international center Nadine Grieb (184-87, currently plays in Luxembourg) was the major contributor in an AB Contern's victory against the second-ranked Amicale (14-6) 69-59 in the Luxembourg Diekirch League last Friday. Grieb had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 11 rebounds. She also added 4 assists and 3 steals in 40 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-6. AB Contern (11-5) is placed third. Grieb belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #6 with 18.4ppg. This year she also averages: 9.1rpg, 2.5apg and 1.7spg in the 15 games. Grieb used to play for the German U20 national team six years ago.

One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has German passport:

#1. Melina Muller (175-F-81, currently plays in Hungary), who plays in the Hungarian A Division could not help MBK Eurl.Vasas (2-23) to beat BSE-FCSM (9-15). She did not beat the league record on Sunday evening. Muller scored only 2 points. The sixth-placed MBK Eurl.Vasas was badly defeated 62-45 in a derby game by the higher-ranked BSE-FCSM (#5) in the Places 9-14 group. It was MBK Eurl.Vasas' eighth consecutive loss in a row.
