There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most exciting game of round 22 in the ProA took place in Duesseldorf. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent BG Goettingen (16-6) to third ranked Duesseldorf Baskets (15-7) 60-59 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BG Goettingen. BG Goettingen was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 20-17 charge of Duesseldorf Baskets, which allowed them to win the game. Duesseldorf Baskets shot 19 for 29 from the free-throw line, while BG Goettingen only scored three points from the stripe. Naturalized American forward Adam Waleskowski (204-82, college: Florida St., agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 25 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American center Chris Gadley (207-87, college: Canisius) chipped in 11 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Ramon Harris (201-88, college: Kentucky) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Duesseldorf Baskets maintains third position with 15-7 record having just two points less than leader Vechta. BG Goettingen at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost. Duesseldorf Baskets are looking forward to face BG Karlsruhe (#4) on the road in the next round. BG Goettingen will play against MLP Academics Heidelberg and is hoping to win this game.
ProA top team - SC Rasta Vechta (17-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Finke Baskets (9-13) 104-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Finke Baskets. Canadian forward Jacob Doerksen (200-87) notched 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Richard Williams supported him with 11 points and 5 assists. SC Rasta Vechta's coach Patrick Elzie felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 11 points by American forward Ryan Aquino (203-89, college: Georgia Coll.) did not help to save the game for Finke Baskets. Newly promoted SC Rasta Vechta maintains first position with 17-5 record. Finke Baskets at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Crailsheim. SC Rasta Vechta will play against Cuxhaven BasCats (#5) on the road in the next round. Finke Baskets will play against Crailsheim Merlins (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Allmendingen was also quite interesting. 4th ranked BG Karlsruhe (14-8) played at the court of sixth ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (12-10). Ehingen/Urspringschule managed to secure a 7-point victory 83-76 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BG Karlsruhe. Americans were the main players on the court. Virgil Matthews fired 28 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Michael Stockton produced 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Ehingen/Urspringschule maintains sixth position with 12-10 record. Loser BG Karlsruhe keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. Ehingen/Urspringschule will meet NBC (#9) in the next round. BG Karlsruhe will play against Duesseldorf Baskets (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Sixteenth-ranked USC Leipzig (3-19) gave a tough game to ninth ranked NBC (10-12). The visitors from Nurnberg managed to secure only three-point victory 87-84. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of Zamal Nixon who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds. NBC maintains ninth position with 10-12 record, which they share with ETB Wohnbau and Jena. USC Leipzig lost eleventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 19 lost games. NBC's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (#6) in Allmendingen and it may be quite challenging game. USC Leipzig will play on the road against BV Chemnitz 99 (#7).
