Ali Traore
Alba Berlin has bolsterd their inside presence with top French player Ali Traore (207-PF-85, agency: Beo Basket, college: S.Idaho JC). Ali Traore is a 27 year old 207cm power forward that was born in the Ivory Coast. He is a very athletic player, who can play in each of the front court positions. Has great inside game skills, he's tough and has good timing for the offensive rebounds. Also, he can hit a shot from outside. This season, he played briefly for Lokomotiv Kuban (Russia-PBL), released in Dec.'12: VTB United League: 1 game: 10pts, 5rbs; Russian PBL: 1 game: 4pts, 2rbs. He started his basketball career in 2000 for the ASVEL Villeurbanne cadet team and stayed in the organization until 2004. He then played for French teams like Quimper UJAP (ProB), Chorale de Roanne Basket (ProA) and STB Le HavreIn 2008, he returned back to Adecco ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne (ProA) where he played until 2010. In 2010-2011, he played for Lottomatica Virtus Roma (Italy-SerieA, starting five): Euroleague: 15 games: 9.5ppg, 3.8rpg, FGP: 56.6%, FT: 73.2%; Italian League: 30 games: 10.0ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.1spg, FGP: 58.4%, FT: 67.7%. Last season, he played for Lokomotiv Kuban (Russia-PBL): VTB League: 21 games: 11.8ppg, 4.4rpg, FGP: 57.5%, FT: 70.1%; EuroCup: 13 games: Score-3 (15.3ppg), Reb-3 (7.1rpg), FGP: 60.4%, FT: 68.5%; Russian League: 20 games: 11.8ppg, 5.2rpg, FGP: 59.1%, FT: 60.9%.
