The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most exciting game of round 24 in the BBL took place in Bremerhaven. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-best Bayern Muenchen (16-8) to thirteenth ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (10-13) 74-72 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Bayern Muenchen. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 12-6 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven dominated on the defensive end, holding Bayern Muenchen to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Stanley Burrell (190-84) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 5 assists. The other American import forward Jacob Burtschi (198-84, college: Air Force) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American Chevon Troutman (202-81, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Beo Basket) replied with 20 points and 6 rebounds for Bayern Muenchen. Bayern Muenchen's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven moved-up to twelfth place. Bayern Muenchen at the other side keeps the second position with eight games lost. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven are looking forward to face Deutsche Bank Skyliners (#17) in Frankfurt in the next round where they are favorite. Bayern Muenchen will play at home against the league's leader Brose Bask. (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
Important game to mention about took place in Berlin. Fifth ranked ALBA Berlin (15-7) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Walter Tigers (12-13) 71-69 on Wednesday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Bosnian forward Nihad Djedovic (198-90, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 5 rebounds and DaShaun Wood who added 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Tyrone Nash (203-88, college: Notre Dame) with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. ALBA Berlin have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with EWE Baskets. Walter Tigers at the other side keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. ALBA Berlin will play against Deutsche Bank Skyliners (#17) in Frankfurt in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Walter Tigers will have a break next round.
BBL top team - Brose Bask. (21-2) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they crushed sixteenth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (8-16) in Bamberg 88-68. The winners were led by Bostjan Nachbar who scored that evening 15 points and 6 rebounds. Even 14 points and 6 rebounds by John Turek did not help to save the game for EnBW Ludwigsburg. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brose Bask. have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 21-2 record. Loser EnBW Ludwigsburg keeps the sixteenth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Fraport SKY. Brose Bask. will meet league's second-placed Bayern Muenchen on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against ratiopharm Ulm (#5) and hope to secure a win.
The game in Bonn was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked ALBA Berlin (15-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Telekom Baskets (12-11). ALBA Berlin defeated Telekom Baskets 71-60. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Telekom Baskets. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was Deon Thompson who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. ALBA Berlin have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with EWE Baskets. Telekom Baskets at the other side keep the seventh position with 11 games lost.
