Candace
Williams
24-year old forward Candace Williams (183-F-88) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Chemnitz and receives a Eurobasket.com 2.Bundesliga Player of the Week award for round 19.
She had a double-double of 26 points and 17 rebounds, while her team beat Quakenbrueck (#8, 8-11) 75-68. It allowed Chemnitz to consolidate first place in the German league. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Chemnitz keeps perfect 19 -0 record. Williams turned to be Chemnitz's top player in her first season with the team. University of New Hampshire graduate has very impressive stats this year. Williams is in league's top in points (7th best: 19.8ppg).

Second best performed player last round was Sarah Acker (191-C) of Bielefeld. She is American center in her first season at Bielefeld. In the last game Acker recorded impressive double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Bielefeld lost that game 56-63 to the higher-ranked Berlin (#2, 16-3). This loss caused Bielefeld to drop to 11th position in North. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Bielefeld managed to get this year. Acker is a newcomer at Bielefeld and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Kellindra Zackery (182-G/F-88) of Viernheim (#6). Zackery scored 17 points and grabbed eighteen rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Viernheim, leading her team to a 64-52 win against slightly lower-ranked Sandhausen (#8, 9-8). Viernheim needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in South. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 8 lost games. Zackery has a great season in Germany. After 17 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.2ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 12.4rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jillian Young (172-G) of Heidelberg - 15 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Klaudia Grudzien (183-F-90) of Goettingen - 12 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists
6. Noemie Rouault (180-F-95) of Berlin - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Gabriela Jandova (190-C-73) of Mainz - 12 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Robin Murphy (185-G/F) of Trier - 25 points and 10 rebounds
9. Shacondra James (172-PG) of Neuss - 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Kathrin Wischnitzki (177-G-91) of Neuss - 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
