There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in DBBL.

Round 20 most important game was a victory of BC Pharmaserv Marburg over one of their biggest challengers TV Saarlouis Royals 78-74 on Sunday night. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TV Saarlouis Royals won third quarter 22-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded TV Saarlouis Royals 43-25 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international power forward Svenja Greunke (188-89) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 17 rebounds. American guard Katlyn Yohn (181-91, college: Bradley) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Latvian forward Sabine Niedola (184-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks for TV Saarlouis Royals. BC Pharmaserv Marburg have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-7 record having five points less than leader Wasserburg. TV Saarlouis Royals at the other side keep the fourth place with eight games lost. BC Pharmaserv Marburg are looking forward to face league's leader TSV 1880 Wasserburg at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. TV Saarlouis Royals will play against ChemCats Chemnitz and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Bottom-ranked Rotenburg/Scheessel managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the eleven-game losing streak. This time they won against seventh-ranked Hannover 66-55. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Janae Young (183-87, college: Pacific) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds and Petra Zaplatova who added 14 points during the contest. Forward Stefanie Grigoleit (186-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Rotenburg/Scheessel maintains twelfth position with 4-16 record. Newly promoted Hannover keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. Rotenburg/Scheessel will play against league's second-placed Gruner Stern Keltern on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hannover will play against Herner TC (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The winners were led by Sheylani Peddy who scored that evening 16 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Even 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by Sarah Hammond did not help to save the game for SV Halle Lions. SV Halle Lions' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. TSV 1880 Wasserburg have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 18-2 record. Loser SV Halle Lions keep the eighth place with 12 games lost. TSV 1880 Wasserburg will meet BC Pharmaserv Marburg (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. SV Halle Lions will play against Fireballs (#6) in Bad Aibling and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between sixth ranked Fireballs (10-10) and 11th ranked Eisvogel Freiburg (6-14) in Bad Aibling ended with biggest points difference. Fireballs beat guests from Freiburg 74-59. The best player for the winners was Cyrielle Recoura who scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Eisvogel Freiburg's coach tested eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Fireballs maintains sixth position with 10-10 record. Eisvogel Freiburg at the other side dropped to the tenth place with 14 games lost. Fireballs' next round opponent will be SV Halle Lions (#8) at home. Eisvogel Freiburg will play against TH Wohnbau Angels and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 20 Chemnitz was beaten by Herner on the road 81-67. Keltern won against Donau-Ries on its own court 76-66.

They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to ChemCats Chemnitz's 26. They outrebounded ChemCats Chemnitz 33-15 including 22 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American point guard Haiden Palmer (173-91, college: Gonzaga) who scored 25 points. The other American import forward Kristi Bellock (185-90, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Herner TC's coach Marek Piotrowski allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Wolfpack parts ways with Raus - 2 days ago
Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel announced on Saturday that Christian Raus won't be any longer the Headcoach. Raus' first year as headcoach of a womens team seemed not to work for both parties as they decided to part ways. Currently will take over Frank Lagerpusch, assisted by Ruediger Jacob until a new coach has been found. Jacob has assisted the past few years and knows the team.
