There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in DBBL.

Eighth-ranked SV Halle Lions (7-13) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Fireballs (11-10) in Bad Aibling on Saturday. Fireballs managed to secure only two-point victory 72-70. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-70. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Fireballs made 7 blocks. International point guard Lena-Marie Bradaric (166-93) stepped up and scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American guard Lindsay Sherbert (184, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American point guard Janee Thompson (170-93, college: Kentucky) with 27 points and 7 assists. SV Halle Lions' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fireballs moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Herner. SV Halle Lions at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Fireballs is looking forward to face TH Wohnbau Angels (#10) in Noerdlingen in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. SV Halle Lions will play at home against BC Pharmaserv Marburg and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Marburg. 3rd placed host BC Pharmaserv Marburg (13-8) lost to first ranked TSV 1880 Wasserburg (19-2) 67-57. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of BC Pharmaserv Marburg. American forward Rebecca Tobin (195-88, college: Arizona St.) nailed 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Sheylani Peddy accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Tonisha Baker (173-90, college: Campbell) came up with 15 points and 4 assists for BC Pharmaserv Marburg in the defeat. TSV 1880 Wasserburg have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 19-2 record. BC Pharmaserv Marburg at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. TSV 1880 Wasserburg will play against ChemCats Chemnitz (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BC Pharmaserv Marburg will play against SV Halle Lions (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Hannover supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Herner TC (11-10) played at the court of seventh ranked Hannover (10-11). Hannover smashed Herner TC 80-56 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Stefanie Grigoleit who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Sonja Greinacher who recorded 8 points and 11 rebounds. Herner TC's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Hannover maintains seventh place with 10-11 record. Loser Herner TC keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Bad Aibling. Hannover will meet higher ranked TV Saarlouis Royals (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Herner TC will play against the league's second-placed Gruner Stern Keltern where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th placed TV Saarlouis Royals (12-9) to ninth ranked ChemCats Chemnitz (8-13) 72-71 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It was a good game for Merritt Hempe who saved her team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. ChemCats Chemnitz moved-up to eighth place. TV Saarlouis Royals lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourth position with nine games lost. ChemCats Chemnitz's next round opponent will be league's leader TSV 1880 Wasserburg on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TV Saarlouis Royals will play against Hannover and hope to win that game.
Second ranked Gruner Stern Keltern (18-3) crushed at home 12th ranked Rotenburg/Scheessel (4-17) by 40 points 102-62, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. Quenese Davis stepped up and scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The victory was the third consecutive win for Gruner Stern Keltern. They maintain second place with 18-3 record behind leader Wasserburg. Loser Rotenburg/Scheessel stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Gruner Stern Keltern will face Herner TC (#5) on the road in the next round. Rotenburg/Scheessel will play against Eisvogel Freiburg (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 21 Donau-Ries won against Freiburg on the opponent's court 83-69.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 18 points and 11 rebounds by Mariesa Greene of Freiburg.

Hannover - Herner 80-56

The game in Hannover supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Herner TC (11-10) played at the court of seventh ranked Hannover (10-11). Hannover smashed Herner TC 80-56 on Sunday. The game without a history. Hannover led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. American Melissa Jeltema (175-88, college: Oakland) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Hannover players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Sonja Greinacher (190-92, college: Gonzaga) who recorded 8 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Kristi Bellock (185-90, college: Texas A&M) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively. A very interesting game took place in Chemnitz. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th placed TV Saarlouis Royals (12-9) to ninth ranked ChemCats Chemnitz (8-13) 72-71 on Sunday evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rotenburg/Scheessel to just 6 points in second quarter. Gruner Stern Keltern dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Rotenburg/Scheessel's 26 and made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Bad Aibling - Halle 72-70

Eighth-ranked SV Halle Lions (7-13) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Fireballs (11-10) in Bad Aibling on Saturday. Fireballs managed to secure only two-point victory 72-70. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-70. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Fireballs made 7 blocks. International point guard Lena-Marie Bradaric (166-93) stepped up and scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American guard Lindsay Sherbert (184, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds. Five Fireballs players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Janee Thompson (170-93, college: Kentucky) with 27 points and 7 assists and Inken-Viktoria Henningsen (180-93) scored 15 points. SV Halle Lions' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fireballs moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Herner. SV Halle Lions at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Fireballs is looking forward to face TH Wohnbau Angels (#10) in Noerdlingen in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. SV Halle Lions will play at home against BC Pharmaserv Marburg and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
