Tatsiana
Likhtarovich
Gruner Stern Keltern (DBBL) landed 29-year old Belarusian international swingman Tatsiana Likhtarovich (180-88). She played most recently at UNI Gyor in Hungarian A Division. In 25 games she averaged 9.4ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.2apg and 1.3spg last season. Likhtarovich helped them to make it to the semifinals. It was a very successful season in her career as she was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Honorable Mention. Likhtarovich also played 14 games in Euroleague where she had 8.6ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.5apg and 1.4spg.
The previous (15-16) season Likhtarovich played at Aluinvent DVTK Miskolc in A Division. In 26 games she recorded 7.5ppg, 2.3rpg, 1.8apg and 1.3spg. She contributed to her team winning the Cup and end the regular season as the second best team in the league. Likhtarovich also played 12 games in Eurocup where she got 7.8ppg, 2.8rpg, 2.3apg and 1.7spg.
Among other achievements Likhtarovich won Lithuanian LMKL championship title in 2012. She received also Eurobasket.com All-Czech Republic D1 1st Team award in 2015.
Likhtarovich has been also a member of Belarusian international program for some years. She has regularly played for Belarusian senior team since 2008 and previously for U20 National Team between 2006 and 2007.
Likhtarovich also represented Belarus at the European Championships in Czech Republic this year. Her stats at that event were 3 games: 9.3ppg, 3.7rpg, 2.3apg, FGP: 46.7%, 3PT: 16.7%.
Likhtarovich is a very experienced player. She has played also professionally in Bulgaria (Neftochimic), France (Tarbes and Arras), Lithuania (VICI Aistes and Fortuna), Czech Republic (Sokol Hradec Kralove) and Belarus (Olimpia and Gorizont).
Likhtarovich's game is described as: Tatsiana Likhtarovich is a true little daredevil always hustling on defense, diving for loose balls and unsettling opponents with her energy outbursts and constant movement. The former youth competitions' star is quite athletic for her size and at the age of 21 is considered one of the top Belarusian prospects. It's possible that in several years Likhtarovich will become a bona fide national team starter. At the moment, though, she works hard to make the most of the scarce playing time she gets behind her more experienced backcourt teammates. This season Tatsiana won the Belarusian Premier League with her Olimpia Grodno side. She averaged 20.2 points, 2.9 assists and 5.2 rebounds for her club in 13 Baltic Women's Basketball League matches.
