The Regular Season in BBL just started.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of ratiopharm Ulm (0-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by ALBA Berlin (1-0) 72-68. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Lithuanian forward Marius Grigonis (198-94) stepped up and scored 20 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners and American forward Luke Sikma (203-89, college: Portland) chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds. ALBA Berlin's coach Garcia Aito Reneses used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American Luke Harangody (202-88, college: Notre Dame) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. ALBA Berlin is looking forward to face Walter Tigers (#18) in Tuebingen in the next round which should be an easy win for them. ratiopharm Ulm will play on the road against Telekom Baskets (#10) in Bonn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very significant was Deutsche Bank Skyliners' 82-70 road victory against Science City Jena. New Zealand guard Tai-Jack Webster (193-95, college: Nebraska) nailed 15 points and 7 assists for the winning side and Philip Scrubb accounted for 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-10 shooting from the field). American guard Immanuel McElroy (194-80, college: Cincinnati) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for Science City Jena in the defeat. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will play against BG Goettingen (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Science City Jena will play against s Oliver Baskets to get more than just one victory in their record.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of ratiopharm Ulm (0-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by ALBA Berlin (1-0) 72-68. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Lithuanian forward Marius Grigonis (198-94) stepped up and scored 20 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners and American forward Luke Sikma (203-89, college: Portland) chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds. ALBA Berlin's coach Garcia Aito Reneses used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American Luke Harangody (202-88, college: Notre Dame) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Joseph Lewis (188-92, college: Louisville) scored 15 points. Four ratiopharm Ulm players scored in double figures.
