There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in ProA.

First defeat of Chemnitz (1-1) against Crailsheim Merlins (2-0) 78-70 was the most important game of the last round. Jamaican-American power forward Sherman Gay (201-82, college: Loyola Mary) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds. American point guard Frank Turner (178-88, college: Canisius, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 15 points and 7 assists for the winners. Power forward Robin Lodders (205-94) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for Chemnitz. Chemnitz will play next round against strong White Wings trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Crailsheim Merlins will try to continue on its current victory against Kirchheim Knights on the road.
OrangeAcademy (1-1) recorded a loss in Ulm. Hosts were rolled over by White Wings (1-1) 95-76. Forward Paul Albrecht (205-93) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Chase Adams chipped in 21 points during the contest. Forward Joschka Ferner (201-96) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds. OrangeAcademy's coach Daniel Jansson rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. White Wings will play against Chemnitz (#5) on the road in the next round. OrangeAcademy will play against Karlsruhe PS to get more than just one victory in their record.
An interesting game was also a 20-point tough road loss of MLP Academics Heidelberg in a game versus undefeated SC Rasta Vechta (#8) 82-62. Jannik Freese notched 20 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 11 points and 4 assists by Shy Ely did not help to save the game for MLP Academics Heidelberg. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. There were no big surprises in other games of round 2: Koeln Rh.Stars beat Ehingen on the road 81-70. Kirchheim lost to Trier on its own court 72-87. Karlsruhe PS managed to outperform Phoenix Hagen in a road game 100-83. Hamburg managed to beat Uni Baskets at home 66-53.
The most impressive performance of 2nd round was 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Seger Bonifant of Ehingen.

Ehingen - Koeln Rh.Stars 70-81

But Ehingen/Urspringschule was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Koeln 81-70. Koeln Rh.Stars forced 26 Ehingen/Urspringschule turnovers. The best player for the winners was American power forward Keith Ramsey (205-87, college: Missouri) who scored 13 points and 5 assists. Naturalized American guard Max DiLeo (185-93, college: Monmouth) chipped in 16 points and 5 steals. Four Koeln Rh.Stars players scored in double figures. Forward Paul Albrecht (205-93) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Chase Adams (177-88, college: Pittsburgh) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Forward Joschka Ferner (201-96) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Austrian point guard David Kramer (191-97) scored 12 points and 6 assists. Five White Wings and four OrangeAcademy players scored in double figures. OrangeAcademy's coach Daniel Jansson rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. White Wings will play against Chemnitz (#5) on the road in the next round. OrangeAcademy will play against Karlsruhe PS to get more than just one victory in their record.

An interesting game was also a 20-point tough road loss of MLP Academics Heidelberg in a game versus undefeated SC Rasta Vechta (#8) 82-62. SC Rasta Vechta outrebounded MLP Academics Heidelberg 39-26 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by MLP Academics Heidelberg's players. Power forward Jannik Freese (211-86) notched 20 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and American Seth Hinrichs (201-93, college: Lafayette, agency: Duran International) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Even 11 points and 4 assists by American swingman Shy Ely (193-87, college: Evansville, agency: Diamond Sports) did not help to save the game for MLP Academics Heidelberg. His fellow American import guard Jaleen Smith (193-94, college: New Hampshire) added 16 points for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
