The Regular Season in 2.Bundesliga just started. The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of B.Loewen (0-1) on the court of TG Neuss on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by TG Neuss 72-60. The game was mostly controlled by TG Neuss. B.Loewen managed to win second period 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding B.Loewen to just 7 points in first quarter. TG Neuss forced 21 B.Loewen turnovers. Power forward Jana Heinrich (188-86, college: San Diego St.) fired 12 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Swingman Franziska Worthmann (178-86, college: Robert Morris) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. TG Neuss' coach Janina Pils used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Viktoria Jaeger (184) produced 15 points and 5 steals for lost side. TG Neuss is looking forward to face SG BBZ Opladen (#3) in Leverkusen in the next round, which may be the game of the day. B.Loewen will play at home against Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another exciting game was between SG BBZ Opladen and Recklinghausen where SG BBZ Opladen (1-0) beat Recklinghausen (0-1) on the road 70-58. Jill Stratton contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Kiana Robertson answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds for Recklinghausen.
