Stephany
Skrba
Canadian Stefany Skrba (188-F-87) had an amazing evening in the last round for Aris Thessalonikis and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 23-year old forward had a double-double of 21 points and eighteen rebounds, while her team edged out Panathinaikos (#5, 9-6) 74-72. Aris maintains the 4th position in Greek A1. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Aris will need more victories to improve their 10-5 record. Skrba turned to be Aris' top player in her first season with the team. University of Michigan graduate has very impressive stats this year. Skrba is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 9.8rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg,2.3spg and 62.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old international guard Olga Hatzinikolaou (181-G-81) of league's best team Sony Athinaikos. Hatzinikolaou impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Athinaikos cruised to a 79-67 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Esperides (#3, 10-5). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Athinaikos consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. She plays for the best team in the league and Athinaikos managed to win all 15 games keeping perfect record. Hatzinikolaou is well-known by Athinaikos fans and she already established her position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Croatian Mirna Mazic (188-F-85) of Panionios (#7). Mazic scored 23 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). Despite Mazic's great performance Panionios lost 68-76 to Apollon (8-7). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Panionios needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 8 victories and 7 lost games. Mazic has a great season in Greece. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.7ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 14.0rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Kaili McLaren (188-F-88) of Apollon - 24 points and 11 rebounds
5. Kary Koch (173-G-83) of Panionios - 19 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Gabriela Marginean (185-F-87) of Panathinaikos - 28 points and 7 rebounds
7. Aglaia Karadima (183-G-82) of Apollon - 26 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Porchia Green (175-G-87) of PAOK - 7 points, 17 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Diana Delva (188-F/C) of DAS Ano Liosa - 12 points and 11 rebounds
10. Katerina Sotiriou (187-F-84) of Athinaikos - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
