Stephany
Skrba
Canadian forward Stefany Skrba (188-F-87) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Aris Thessalonikis, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds, while her team beat Panionios (#7, 9-8) 64-57. Aris maintains the 3rd position in Greek A1. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Aris will need more victories to improve their 12-5 record. Skrba turned to be Aris' top player in her first season with the team. Former University of Michigan star has very solid stats this year. Skrba is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 9.9rpg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg,2.4spg and 63.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was -year old American Diana Delva (188-F/C) of league's second-best DAS Ano Liosa. Delva had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as DAS Ano Liosa was edged by slightly lower-ranked Esperides (#4, 11-6) 68-65. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. DAS Ano Liosa still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 12-5 record is not bad at all. Delva is a newcomer at DAS Ano Liosa, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.4ppg (#3). She also registered 11.1 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Romanian forward Gabriela Marginean (185-F-87) of Panathinaikos Athens (#5). Marginean showcased her all-around game by recording 24 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in the last round. She was a key player of Panathinaikos, leading her team to a 75-55 easy win against the lower-ranked Olympiakos (#11, 2-15). Panathinaikos needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 7 lost games. Marginean has a great season in Greece. After 17 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.5ppg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Tania Halivera (178-G-85) of FEA Neas - 19 points and 7 rebounds
5. Kary Koch (173-G-83) of Panionios - 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Lidia Milkova (192-C-70) of Esperides - 20 points and 7 rebounds
7. Theodora Panteli (183-F-87) of Panathinaikos - 12 points and 15 rebounds
8. Dimitra Giannopoulou (184-F-84) of PAOK - 16 points and 10 rebounds
9. Maria Kiritsaka (168-G-87) of Olympiakos - 16 points and 7 rebounds
10. Jordan Murphree (183-G-87) of Panathinaikos - 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
