The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Athens: Athinaikos (#1) and Panionios (#3). Athinaikos (14-0) won against visiting Panionios (9-5) 57-49. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Panionios. The game without a history. Athinaikos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was the former international guard May Kay Kotsopoulos (178-88, college: Vermont) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. The former international guard Lolita Lymoura (180-85, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. International power forward Peli Papamichail (189-86, agency: Josep and Nicolas) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Undefeated Athinaikos have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-0 record. Panionios at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Asteras and Panathinaikos. Athinaikos are looking forward to face PAOK (#10) in Thessaloniki in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Panionios will play on the road against Aris (#9) in Thessaloniki and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.

Forward Maria Zikiridou (187-83) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!). Maria Xanthou contributed with 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Georgia Athanasiadou (174) replied with 13 points and 6 rebounds for Apollon Ptol.Apollon Ptol.'s coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Kronos AD maintains eighth position with 5-9 record. Apollon Ptol. lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Apollon Kal.. Kronos AD will play against league's second-placed Esperides in Glyfada in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Apollon Ptol. will play on the road against FEA Neas (#6) in Halkidon and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Rest of the games of round 14 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Apollon Kal. was defeated by Esperides in Glyfada 69-52. DAS Ano Liosa beat PAOK at home 62-55. Aris was destroyed by Asteras on the opponent's court 58-32. Panathinaikos managed to outperform FEA Neas in a home game 55-43.
The best stats of 14th round was 26 points and 11 rebounds by Latoya Williams of Esperides.



Apollon Ptol. - Kronos AD 49-94

The game with biggest result difference took place in Ptolemaida. Local Apollon Ptol. (2-12) was outscored by eighth ranked Kronos AD (5-9) 94-49. The game without a history. Kronos AD led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Apollon Ptol. to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Kronos AD dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Apollon Ptol.'s 24 and made 25-of-28 charity shots (89.3 percent) during the game. Kronos AD forced 22 Apollon Ptol. turnovers and outrebounded them 45-27 including a 19-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Maria Zikiridou (187-83) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!). Forward Maria Xanthou (185-82) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Kronos AD players scored in double figures. Forward Georgia Athanasiadou (174) replied with 13 points and 6 rebounds and Strato Holopoulou added 14 points and 5 steals in the effort for Apollon Ptol.Apollon Ptol.'s coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. There was no surprise in Glyfada where 11th ranked Apollon Kal. (2-12) was defeated by second ranked Esperides (12-2) 69-52. The game was mostly controlled by Esperides. Apollon Kal. was better in fourth quarter 12-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Esperides forced 22 Apollon Kal. turnovers. American center Latoya Williams (193-87, college: Chipola JC) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import guard Haily Dunham (188-87, college: USC, agency: Merit Sports) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Esperides' coach Giorgos Leivadis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Andria Tamoutseli (180-86) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals and Vasiliki Kazantzi added 18 points in the effort for Apollon Kal.Esperides maintains second position with 12-2 record having just two points less than leader Athinaikos. Newly promoted Apollon Kal. keeps the eleventh place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Apollon Ptol.. No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked DAS Ano Liosa (7-7) defeated at home 10th ranked PAOK (4-10) 62-55. It looked good early as PAOK took an 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then DAS Ano Liosa took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 7 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding PAOK to just 6 points in second quarter. They outrebounded PAOK 37-26 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. DAS Ano Liosa players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American forward Collen Planeta (188-88, college: Point Loma) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Ioanna Diela (175-90) contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners. DAS Ano Liosa's coach Aggelos Giannoulakis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Quenese Davis (178-88, college: San Diego St.) replied with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and her fellow American import power forward Diana Barnes (188-88, college: Miami, FL) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for PAOK. Very expected game in Athens where 9th ranked Aris (4-10) was rolled over by fifth ranked Asteras (9-5) 58-32. The game without a history. Asteras led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Aris to just 5 points in third quarter. Asteras held Aris to an opponent 23.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Asteras forced 19 Aris turnovers. American guard Nikitta Gartrell (175-88, college: N.Carolina St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. PAOK Thessalonikis (A1) inked 25-year old American center Ondrea Shaw (193-91, college: E.Carolina). She played in the summer at SC Rip in Australian QBL. In 17 games she recorded 6.9ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.0apg and 2.6bpg. Among other achievements Shaw's team made it to the AAC Tournament Semifinals in 2015.
