Alekos
Daglas
Alekos Daglas is the new head coach of the Greek women's Natonal Team and he has the difficult work to continue the achievements of the previous National coach, Kostas Missas. Coach Daglas, spoke to the Greek media, about this great challenge he has in front of him, to lead the Greek National Team to the next European Basketball competitions.

Here are some quotes from Mr Daglas interview:

For the goals he has with the team: ''The last years, with the guidance of Kostas Missas, a great coach, the women's National Team has made some great accomplishments: fifth place in the 2009 Eurobasket and a participation in the 2010 World championship. Our goal is to be in the Eurobasket in France, something that is not easy at all, but very difficult. In the qualification round, we are in a group of 5 teams, with the top two teams qualifying. We'll do the best we can, to be in the 2013 Eurobasket''.

For the opponents in the Eurobasket qualifying round: ''Italy and Latvia are for sure two great teams and with them, we'll compete for the top two spots of the group.. Finland is also a good team and Luxembourg will be the wickest side''.

For the players that he'll call in the summer: ''All the girls that i've spoken with, are intent to help the national team. I think we won't have any losses in the roster, apart from Stella Kaltsidou who got injured and Spiridopoulou. I think the team will be once again, very strong''.

For the future of the NT and the need for new players: ''It is a fact that we'll make a renewal to the roster. Maltsi and Kalentzou for example, have at least two more years in the team. Our thought is to call, four or five young girls and start making them, step by step, part of the team. There are at least eight girls in universities of the United States, that have some experience and also some very talented girls in the A1 league''.
