Greece U20 outscored Croatia U20 in Torneo di Domegge to finish in the third place. The Greek side needed an 81:73 in the final game.
Greece started with 23:12 lead but had difficulties to keep the advantage. The Croatian players erupted with 28-13 in the second period and grabbed 40:36 halftime advantage. It was again Greece to shock the opponents with 31-9 in the third period and reached 18-point deficit after three quarters. Croatia meanwhile won the last stanza 24-14 and reduced to 8 points at the end.
Spyridon Motsenigos (193-SG-92) top-scored for the winners with 27 points and Giannoulis Larentzakis (195-SG-93, agency: FCM) nailed 19.
France edged Italy to win U20 Torneo di Domegge. The French side needed 83:56 victory as both teams finished with 2-1 record on top. Due to the game between each other France finished first, while Italy ended up on the second place.
