Slovenia U18 - Greece U18 78:73

Slovenia prevailed against Greece in the classification round of U18 European Championship. Slovenia will now take on the winners of Turkey vs. Ukraine clash for the 9th place tomorrow.
Slovenia eked out a 19:17 lead ten minutes into the game. Greece got within a single point at halftime 39:40. But Slovenia managed to deepen the margin in the third quarter. They extended the lead to as many as 10 points at the final break. The Hellenes got within two points 71:73 with just over three minutes to go. However Matic Rebec (180-PG-95) knocked down five free throws in the dying minutes to seal the victory for Slovenia. Tomaz Bolcina (206-F/C-94) and Andraz Rogelija (187-PG-95) finished with 13 points for the winners. Matic Rebec topscored with 20 points in the victory. Diamantis Slaftsakis (200-SF-94) answered with 20 points for Greece. Dimitrios Agravanis (208-F-94, agency: FCM) netted 15 points in the loss.

Newly promoted ASP Promitheas Patras (A1) strengthened their roster with addition of 23-year old American center Jordan Dickerson (216-111kg-93, college: The Pennsylvania State). He already started the season at Bashkimi in Kosovan SuperLeague, but left the team in Nov.'16. In four games he recorded 3.3ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.0bpg this season. The round was exceptionally exciting as four games ended with a tiny margin. There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games, games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory. The most exciting game of round 10 in the B League took place in Marousi. 1) signed 31-year old Bosnian international power forward Miroslav Todic (205-110kg-85). He is a dual citizen owning also Bosnia and Herzegovina passport.
