We bring you last week's top performances from Greeks who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Katerina Sotiriou (186-84, agency: FCM, currently plays in Spain). She contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Conquero (0-1) crushing them 84-59 in the Spanish LFB in Friday night's game. Sotiriou recorded 10 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in 25 minutes on the court. It was his first game for Navarra Pamplona this season. Her team is placed fourth in the LFB. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Sotiriou played for the Greek senior national team years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international power forward Peli Papamichail (189-86, agency: Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Italy). She led Ragusa to a victory over the leader Ancona 67-48 in the Italian A2 (12th division) last Saturday. Papamichail was MVP of the game. She scored 18 points. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group South. Passalacqua Spedizioni Ragusa (2-0) is placed second. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Papamichail's first year with the team. This season Papamichail averages: 9.5ppg, 6.0rpg, 2.0spg. She played for the Greek national team in 2012.

   #3. The Greek player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Vicky Volonaki (179-80, currently plays in Spain) faced previously mentioned Katerina Sotiriou in the Spanish LFB last game. Volonaki, who plays in the Spanish LFB. She could not help Conquero (0-1) to beat Navarra Pamplona (1-0). Volonaki recorded 6 points and had 3 steals in 20 minutes. It was his first game for Conquero this season. The bottom-ranked Conquero was crushed 84-59 at home by the much higher-ranked (#4) Navarra Pamplona. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Volonaki is ranked fourth on the list of the most steals in the league with 3 steals. She played for the Greek national team years ago.

   #4. Swingman Olga Chatzinikolaou (181-81, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Caja Rural (0-1) in their game against Rivas Ecopolis (1-0) in the Spanish LFB. Chatzinikolaou recorded 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It was his first game for Caja Rural this season. Caja Rural was crushed 95-72 on the road by the higher-ranked Rivas Ecopolis (#5). But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Chatzinikolaou used to play for the Greek national team earlier this year.

Canadian-Serbian Forward Stephany Skrba (188-F-87) had a great game in the last round for Proteas, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. The 29-year old player had a double-double of 17 points and 24 rebounds, while her team edged out Niki Lefkadas (#8, 4-5) 71-67. Proteas is placed at 4th position in Greek A1. The most interesting game of round 9 in the A1 was a home defeat of 7th ranked PAOK (4-5) by sixth ranked Dafni Agioy (5-4) who outscored them by 16 points 69-53. Dafni Agioy made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Dafni Agioy outrebounded PAOK 35-18 including a 26-14 advantage in defensive rebounds.
