After 4 rounds played we can already see who rules in the A1 and who belongs to weaker ones. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with derby games, favorites losing the games and even winless team recording their first victory.

Olympiakos has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Asteras (1-3) 68-62 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 68-62. Olympiakos dominated on the defensive end, holding Asteras to just 7 points in second quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Niki Zerva (183-79) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and guard Rafaela Soultani (172-91) who added 12 points and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side center Katerina Glyniadaki (196-86, college: Cal-Riverside) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Asteras' coach Harris Koulouriotis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Olympiakos left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Asteras and Ikaros Kalitheas. Olympiakos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Athens to the arena Panathinaikos.
A1 top team - AO Ellinikou (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat eighth ranked Ikaros Kalitheas (1-3) in Glyfada 65-47. The winners were led by the former international guard Tania Chalivera (178-85) who scored that evening 18 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and Dimitra Tsoukala supported her with 8 points and 8 rebounds. AO Ellinikou's coach Eleni Kapogianni allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 11 points and 15 rebounds by American center Jasmine Erving (187-90, college: CS Northridge) did not help to save the game for Ikaros Kalitheas. AO Ellinikou have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted AO Ellinikou maintains first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Panathinaikos and Athinaikos. Ikaros Kalitheas at the other side keeps the eighth place with three games lost. They share the position with Asteras and Olympiakos. AO Ellinikou will play against PAOK (#4) in Thessaloniki in the next round. Ikaros Kalitheas will play on the road against Aris (#5) in Thessaloniki to get more than just one victory in their record.
Top-ranked Athinaikos blasted bottom-ranked GAC Eunikos (0-4) in Liosa 81-48 on Saturday evening keeping the perfect record after 4 rounds. GAC Eunikos is still unable to win any game. Zoi Kechagia fired 14 points for the winners. Aikaterini Kontali produced 23 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Athinaikos have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion (4-0) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Panathinaikos and AO Ellinikou. Loser GAC Eunikos still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Panionios. Athinaikos will meet at home Kronos AD (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. GAC Eunikos will play against Terpsithea (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

It was a very good performance for Roula Mouli who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Aris' coach Miltiadis Miliotis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aris moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kronos AD and Terpsithea. Panionios at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Aris' next round opponent will be Ikaros Kalitheas (#9) in Glyfada. Panionios' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Athens to the arena Asteras.

Worth to mention a great performance of Diana Delva who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 rebounds. Panathinaikos' coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Panathinaikos have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Athinaikos and AO Ellinikou. Loser Kronos AD dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. Panathinaikos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Athens Olympiakos.

In the last game of round 4 Terpsithea lost to PAOK on the opponent's court 67-73.

They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Kronos AD's 30. They outrebounded Kronos AD 41-18 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Diana Delva (188-88, college: Hartford) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and international forward Ioanna Diela (175-90) who added 10 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Panathinaikos players scored in double figures. Panathinaikos' coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Experienced Chinasa-Cynthia Ezedja (188-F/C) put on an amazing game in the last round for Panathinaikos and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 22.
