It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in A1, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders.

Round 4 in A1 means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Athens where host Panionios (4-0) beat league's leader Kolossos (3-1) 89-77 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kolossos. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 28-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Panionios outrebounded Kolossos 34-20 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international guard Nikos Pappas (195-90, agency: FCM) fired 31 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Naturalized Serbian forward Vladimir Jankovic (202-90, agency: FCM) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds. Panionios' coach Thanasis Skourtopoulos used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center LaRon Dendy (205-88, college: Middle Tenn.St.) produced 22 points for lost side. Panionios have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Olympiacos. Kolossos at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Olympiacos. Kolossos will play next round against Apollon Patras trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Panionios will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Aris in Thessaloniki.
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Olympiacos as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Kolossos) loss. Olympiacos smashed 4th ranked KAOD in Athens 103-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KAOD. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Georgios Printezis (206-85, agency: FCM) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 rebounds. Vassilis Spanoulis contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Center Guy-Marc Michel (213-88, college: Indiana) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for KAOD. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olympiacos have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Panionios. KAOD at the other side keeps the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with 6 other teams. KAOD will play next round against Ikaros trying to get back on the winning streak. Olympiacos will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Peristeri GS. It will be extra interesting game as Peristeri GS is their local rival from Athens.
Apollon Patras can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Kavala (0-4) 80-79 on Saturday. Apollon Patras (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with Ilysiakos and Panelefsiniakos. It was Kavala's fourth loss in a row.
