Here is the weekly review of the top performing Greek players, who play currently abroad. This week's number one is an international swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo (211-94, agency: Octagon Europe). He could not help the Milwaukee Bucks (20-20) in their last game. Despite Antetokounmpo's very good performance the Milwaukee Bucks (20-20) lost 98-111 on the road to the Atlanta Hawks.

#2. Second place goes to an international center Giorgos Bogris (210-89, currently plays in Spain). He led CB Canarias to a victory over the closely-ranked FC Barcelona (12-4) 71-60 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday.
Bogris was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 11 rebounds.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Iberostar Tenerife CB Canarias (12-4) is placed fourth in the Liga Endesa.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
Bogris' overall stats this season are: 6.7ppg, 4.1rpg, 2FGP: 51.0% and FT: 41.7%.
He is in the roster of the Greek senior national team.
#3. The Greek player who performed third best last week abroad was former international swingman Michael Bramos (196-87, college: Miami, OH, currently plays in Basketball Champions League). Bramos contributed to an Umana Venezia's victory against the sixth-ranked Joensuun Kataja (6-7) 78-68 in the Basketball Champions League on Tuesday night.
He scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 27 minutes.
Umana Reyer Venezia (8-5) is placed third in group B.
Bramos' team will play only one more game in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season. And that game will be critical.

#4. An experienced center Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-84, currently plays in China) was not able to help Qingdao Eagles (13-15) in their last game on Monday. Despite Mavrokefalidis' very good performance Qingdao Eagles were crushed 125-96 in Dongguan by the much higher-ranked Guandong Tigers (#3).
He recorded a double-double by scoring 33 points and getting 14 rebounds.
It's Mavrokefalidis' first season with the team.
This year Mavrokefalidis has very high stats. He averages: 19.1ppg, 8.4rpg, 2.1apg and 1.4spg.

#5. International forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo (199-92, currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in Andorra's victory against the closely-ranked Sevilla (7-9) crushing them 95-69 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday.
He scored 14 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 25 minutes.
MoraBanc Andorra (9-7) is placed eighth in the Liga Endesa.

#2.Patrick Calathes (207-F-85, college: St.Joseph's, currently plays in Italy) was not able to help AV Cantu (6-9) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Calathes' very good performance AV Cantu was defeated 85-79 at home by the leading Armani Milano.
He was the second best scorer with 19 points. Calathes also added 8 rebounds. It was his first game for AV Cantu this season.
Calathes is a naturalized American.
He used to play for Costa Cafe Marousi in Greek league.
#3.Nikolaos Stylianou (198-F-88, college: W.Texas A&M, currently plays in Cyprus) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Etha (2-9) crushing them 92-67 in the Cypriot Division A on Saturday night.
Stylianou scored 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 26 minutes.
Keravnos Strovolou (9-1) is placed first in the Division A.
It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row.
This year Stylianou has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.7apg and 1.1spg in seven games he played so far.
He has a dual citizenship: Greek and Cypriot.
#4.Nazareth Mitrou-Long (193-G-93, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to secure a victory for the Iowa St. (3-3) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Mitrou-Long's very good performance the Iowa St. was defeated 84-77 on their home court in Ames, IA by the Texas Christian University.
He scored 19 points and added 3 assists.
Mitrou-Long has been at the team for five years.
Mitrou-Long has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 15.8ppg, 4.6rpg and 2.9apg.
Mitrou-Long is another player who holds two passports: Greek and Canadian.
Despite his Greek nationality, Mitrou-Long previously played for the Canadian U19 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Greek team.
#5. Experienced Vassilis Kounas (194-G-84, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) contributed to Apoel's victory against the leader Telekom Baskets (4-1) 84-78 in the FIBA Europe Cup in Wednesday night's game.
He recorded 8 points.
Cytavision Apoel Nicosia (1-4) is placed fourth in group M.
Kounas' team will play only one more game in the FIBA Europe Cup Second Stage. And now that game is very crucial.

#7.Maximiliano Sole (198-F-88, agency: Duran International, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Quintanar crushing them 81-50 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) on Saturday night.
He scored 8 points, had 13 rebounds and dished 4 assists.

In two games he averaged 12.5ppg, 7.5rpg and 2.0apg this season. Vitkovac also played earlier that season for Apollon Patras in Greek A1 where in four KLS games he had 3.3ppg and 2.8rpg. Among other achievements he won Montenegrin League championship title in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014. Vitkovac received also Eurobasket.com All-Montenegrin League Honorable Mention award back in 2014. He has played also professionally in Bosnia (Igokea) and Montenegro (Buducnost).
