American center Jasmine Erving (187-C-90) had an amazing evening in the last round for Ikaros Kalitheas, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 22-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 17 rebounds, while her team beat Asteras (2-4) 74-59. Ikaros Kalitheas is placed at 8th position in Greek A1. Ikaros Kalitheas is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. In the team's last game Erving had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. She turned to be Ikaros Kalitheas' top player in her first season with the team. Former Cal State - Northridge star has very solid stats this year. Erving. Erving is in league's top in points (3rd best: 17.8ppg) and averages impressive 1.7bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was 33-year old former international Nena Nikolaidou (190-C/F-79) of Kronos AD. Nikolaidou had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 17 rebounds. It was enough for Kronos AD to edge Terpsithea (3-3) 67-65. This victory allowed Kronos AD to move up to 5th position in the standings. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Nikolaidou is a newcomer at Kronos AD, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Diana Delva (188-F/C-88) of Panathinaikos (#3). Delva scored 27 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). Despite Delva's great performance Panathinaikos lost 75-78 to #2 ranked Athinaikos. But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Panathinaikos had another "accident". It may be a crucial game and cause dropping from the group of top ranked teams. The record is still good, but 1st lost game is hopefully really an accident. Delva's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Delva has a great season in Greece. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.3ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 7.8rpg (8th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Niki Zerva (183-F-79) of Olympiakos - 21 points and 11 rebounds
5. Theoni Tzegianaki (162-G-85) of Ikaros Kalitheas - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists
6. Breanna Brock (187-F-90) of AO Ellinikou - 20 points and 7 rebounds
7. Tania Chalivera (178-G-85) of AO Ellinikou - 16 points and 7 rebounds
8. Anna Spyridopoulou (184-F-88) of Terpsithea - 16 points and 12 rebounds
9. Stavroula Spanidou (180-G/F-84) of PAOK - 9 points and 10 rebounds
10. Afroditi Kosma (187-F/C-83) of Athinaikos - 23 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Shumpert's double-double lands her Player of the Week award - 9 hours ago
23-year old power forward Khadijah Shumpert (188-F/C-93) had an amazing evening in the last round for Panathlitikos and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11. She had a double-double of 29 points and 15 rebounds, while her team beat Aris Thessal. (#9, 3-8) 79-73. Panathlitikos is placed at 3rd position in Greek A1.
