Undefeated leader AO Ellinikou delivered the seventh consecutive win on Saturday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked Kronos AD (3-4) 64-43. The game without a history. AO Ellinikou led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. AO Ellinikou forced 22 Kronos AD turnovers. American forward Breanna Brock (187-90, college: Missouri) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Evina Stamati (180-84) chipped in 15 points and 5 steals. AO Ellinikou's coach Eleni Kapogianni felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Nena Nikolaidou (190-79) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds for lost side. Undefeated AO Ellinikou (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Newly promoted AO Ellinikou maintains first place with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row, which they share with Athinaikos. Kronos AD at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Ikaros Kalitheas and Terpsithea. AO Ellinikou is looking forward to face league's second-placed Athinaikos in Athens in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kronos AD will play at home against Aris (#5) in Thessaloniki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Roula Mouli contributed with 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Nikolina Ioannidou (174-94) answered with 10 points and 8 rebounds for GAC Eunikos. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aris moved-up to fifth place. GAC Eunikos lost their seventh game in a row. They still closes the standings with seven games lost. They share the position with Panionios. Aris will play against Kronos AD (#6) on the road in the next round. GAC Eunikos will play against Asteras (#10) in Athens and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Panionios will play against Ikaros Kalitheas (#7) in Glyfada and looks forward to get finally their first victory.

Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with AO Ellinikou. Newly promoted Terpsithea dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. Athinaikos' next round opponent will be league's leader AO Ellinikou and it will be for sure the game of the week. Terpsithea will play against Panathinaikos (#3) in Athens.

In the last two games of round 7 Ikaros Kalitheas defeated Olympiakos in Glyfada 73-55. Asteras was beaten by PAOK at home 47-54.


Olympiakos - Ikaros Kalitheas 55-73

Everything could happen in Athens at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Ikaros Kalitheas and 9th ranked Olympiakos had identical 2-4 record. But Olympiakos was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Glyfada 73-55. The game without a history. Ikaros Kalitheas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ikaros Kalitheas had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American center Jasmine Erving (187-90, college: CS Northridge) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. The former international guard Theoni Tzegianaki (162-85) accounted for 9 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists for the winning side. Asteras - PAOK 47-54

No shocking result in a game in Athens where fourth ranked PAOK (5-2) defeated 10th ranked Asteras (2-5) 54-47. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-7. But Asteras won third quarter 20-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. PAOK dominated on the defensive end, holding Asteras to just 7 points in first quarter. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian forward Kayla Dykstra (188-87) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Maria Avtzi (173) accounted for 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four PAOK players scored in double figures. Litsa Vlachou came up with 11 points and Aspasia Kalampakou (178-93) added 9 points respectively for Asteras in the defeat. Asteras' coach Harris Koulouriotis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. PAOK maintains fourth place with 5-2 record. Asteras at the other side dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. PAOK's next round opponent will be Olympiakos (#9) in Athens which should be theoretically an easy game. PAOK Thessalonikis (A1) inked 25-year old American center Ondrea Shaw (193-91, college: E.Carolina). She played in the summer at SC Rip in Australian QBL. In 17 games she recorded 6.9ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.0apg and 2.6bpg. Among other achievements Shaw's team made it to the AAC Tournament Semifinals in 2015.
