Erving
Talented American Jasmine Erving (187-C-90) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Ikaros Kalitheas and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 22-year old center had a double-double of 36 points and thirteen rebounds, while her team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Panionios (#12, 0-8) with 21-point margin 75-54. Ikaros Kalitheas is placed at 6th position in Greek A1. Ikaros Kalitheas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Erving had a remarkable 52.6% from 2-point range. She turned to be Ikaros Kalitheas' top player in her first season with the team. Cal State - Northridge graduate has very impressive stats this year. Erving is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.6ppg and leads league in rebounds with 12.4rpg. Erving is in league's top in and averages solid 1.8bpg and 2.1spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Breanna Brock (187-F-90) of league's best team AO Ellinikou. Brock impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 19 rebounds. It was enough for AO Ellinikou to edge slightly lower-ranked Athinaikos (#2, 7-1) by 3 points 68-65. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. AO Ellinikou consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. She plays for the best team in the league and AO Ellinikou managed to win all 8 games keeping perfect record. Brock is a newcomer at AO Ellinikou and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.5ppg (#3). She also registered 9.9 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Diana Delva (188-F/C-88) of Panathinaikos (#3). Delva scored 17 points and grabbed eighteen rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Panathinaikos, leading her team to a 55-47 win against the lower-ranked Terpsithea (#9, 3-5). Panathinaikos is closer and closer to the top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 7-1 record is not that bad... Delva has a great season in Greece. After only 8 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.5ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 9.6rpg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Kayla Dykstra (188-F-87) of PAOK - 19 points, 16 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Afroditi Kosma (187-F/C-83) of Athinaikos - 24 points and 13 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
