We bring you last week's top performances from Greeks who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Evanthia Maltsi
Evanthia Maltsi
#1. This week's number one is an experienced international forward Evanthia Maltsi (180-78, agency: Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Eurocup). She was the major contributor in Kayseri's victory against the closely-ranked Telge (1-2) 80-61 in the Eurocup in Thursday night's game. Maltsi scored 18 points, made 5 passes and 4 steals in 26 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group E. Pankup TED Kayseri Kolejspor (3-1) is placed first. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the Eurocup. Maltsi is currently first on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of most steals (fourth place). She has individually a very good year with high stats. Maltsi averages: 23.8ppg, 3.0rpg, 2.8apg, 3.0spg, 2FGP: 47.7%, 3FGP: 48.3%(14-29) in the four games she played so far. She is currently a member of the Greek senior national team.

Stefanie Murphy
Stefanie Murphy
#2. Second place goes to former international power forward Stefanie Murphy (192-89, college: Boston Coll., currently plays in Eurocup). Murphy led her French team Union Hainaut to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked Young Cats (1-5) crushing them 100-79 in the Eurocup last Wednesday. She scored 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Murphy's second season in pro basketball. Union Saint-Amand Porte du Hainaut (5-1) is placed first in group B. The Regular Season already ended in the Eurocup. It's Murphy's first year with the team. She has relatively good stats this season: 13.0ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.5apg, 2FGP: 55.6%(35-63) and FT: 61.5%. Murphy is a naturalized American. She played for the Greek national team in 2010. Strangely Murphy has never played in Greece.

Styliani Kaltsidou
Styliani Kaltsidou
#3. The Greek player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Styliani Kaltsidou (188-83, also represented by Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Euroleague). She contributed to Bourges' victory against the fourth-ranked UNI Gyor (3-3) 57-47 in the Euroleague on Wednesday night. Kaltsidou scored 7 points in 18 minutes. It was his first game for Bourges this season. Her team is placed second in group A. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. Kaltsidou has been at the team for four years. She played for the Greek national team one years ago.

#4. Forward Zoi Dimitrakou (188-87, another player represented by Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Eurocup) is a teammate of previously mentioned Evanthia Maltsi and both played together in the last Eurocup game. Dimitrakou contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Telge (1-2) 80-61. She scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. It was his first game for Kayseri this season. Dimitrakou used to play for the Greek national team back in 2009.

She recorded 9 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in 29 minutes. Tintos de Toro Caja Rural Zamora (4-3) is placed fourth in the LFB. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Chatzinikolaou's overall stats are: 9.1ppg, 6.7rpg, 2.7apg and 2.1spg in the seven games. She plays currently for the Greek national team.

Peli Papamichail

Papamichail was MVP of the game. She recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 14 rebounds. Papamichail also added 4 blocks. Passalacqua Spedizioni Ragusa (9-0) is placed first in South group. So far her team won all nine games in the Regular Season. This season Papamichail has relatively solid stats: 12.2ppg, 9.3rpg and 1.2spg. She is an international player who is currently on the senior Greek National Team roster.

Katerina Sotiriou
Katerina Sotiriou
#7. International forward Katerina Sotiriou (186-84, agency: FCM, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LFB could not help Navarra Pamplona (3-3) to beat Perfumerias Avenida (4-2). Sotiriou recorded 5 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 25 minutes. Navarra Pamplona lost in an overtime 68-72 on the road to the second-ranked Perfumerias Avenida. It was Navarra Pamplona's third consecutive loss in a row. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Sotiriou's total stats are: 6.3ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.3apg in the six games. She is also Greek national team player.

One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Greek passport:
