Evanthia Maltsi
#1. This week's number one is an experienced international forward Evanthia Maltsi (180-78, agency: Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Eurocup). She led her Turkish team Kayseri to a victory over the closely-ranked Mersin (5-1) 91-87 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game. Maltsi was MVP of the game. She recorded 21 points and added 3 assists in 35 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group E. Pankup TED Kayseri Kolejspor (3-1) is placed first. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. Maltsi is currently second on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of most steals (fifth place). She has individually a very good year with high stats. Maltsi averages: 23.2ppg, 3.0rpg, 2.8apg, 2.8spg, 2FGP: 49.0% in the five games she played so far. Union Saint-Amand Porte du Hainaut (5-1) is placed first in group B. There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Murphy's first year with the team. She has relatively good stats this season: 13.0ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.5apg, 2FGP: 55.6%(35-63) and FT: 61.5%. Murphy is a naturalized American.
