American power forward Diana Delva (188-F/C-88) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Panathinaikos, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 20 rebounds, while her team beat AO Ellinikou (9-1) 68-59. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Panathinaikos to take over top position in the Greek A1. Panathinaikos has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. It's Delva's second year at Panathinaikos and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Former University of Hartford star has very solid stats this year. Delva is in league's top in points (2nd best: 19.2ppg), rebounds (4th best: 10.9rpg) and averages impressive 63.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old former international guard Lolita Lymoura (180-G-85, agency: LBM Management) of league's second-best Athinaikos. Lymoura had a very good evening with a double-double of 11 points and 10 assists. Of course she lead Athinaikos to another comfortable win 70-51 over the lower-ranked Asteras (#9, 4-6) being unquestionably team leader. Athinaikos' second position in the standings has not changed. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 9-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Lymoura is one of the most experienced players at Athinaikos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was SCGn guard Tania Chalivera (178-G-85) of AO Ellinikou (#3). Chalivera scored 17 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Chalivera's great performance AO Ellinikou lost 59-68 to #1 ranked Panathinaikos. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. That was shocking loss for AO Ellinikou and their fans. Hopefully so far almost perfect season will not turn around. They still have impressive 9-1 record in the league. Chalivera plays for a very strong team and AO Ellinikou has many quality players. So achieving that high stats is even more impressive. Chalivera has a very solid season. In 9 games in Greece she scored 9.0ppg. Tania Chalivera has also Greek passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

Other top performing players last week:

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
