There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with extra overtimes, derby games and games ending by tiny margin.

Let's start with guest AGOR's (#5) road victory over Ikaros (#6) 66-61 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 36-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Serbian guard Uros Duvnjak (190-86, agency: Beo Basket) fired 18 points for the winners. Forward Nikos Angelopoulos (205-84) chipped in 8 points and 6 rebounds. AGOR's coach Stergios Koufos used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Power forward Vassilis Symtsak (204-81) produced 17 points for lost side. AGOR maintains fifth position with 6-4 record. Ikaros at the other side keeps the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Apollon Patras. AGOR are looking forward to face KAOD (#10) in Dramas in the next round where they are favorite. Ikaros will play on the road against Ilysiakos (#14) in Athens and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Athens: Panathinaikos (#4) and Panionios (#2). Panathinaikos (8-2) won against visiting Panionios (8-2) 75-61. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Panionios. Dimitris Diamantidis contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. The former international guard Nikos Pappas (195-90, agency: FCM) replied with 18 points and 5 assists for Panionios. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Panathinaikos have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with PAOK and Panionios. Panathinaikos will play against Apollon Patras (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite.
