NIJT: KK Spars beat Mas Mandoulides to clinch Final birth - Dec 28, 2012

KK Spars will play in the title game of NIJT Citta di Roma Tournament. The Bosnian outfit claimed the third straight win beating Mas Mandoulides tonight. Nedim Buza (201-SF-95) came up with 21 points to pace the winners.
The teams stayed neck and neck throughout the opening quarter. KK Spars and Mas Mandoulides were tied at 13 after ten minutes. Mas Mandoulides surged ahead in the second frame. The Greek team posted a 25:21 lead at the big break. However KK Spars turned things around in the third quarter. The Bosnian team went on a 29:12 rally to ensure a 50:37 lead at the final intermission. KK Spars kept Mas Mandoulides at safe distance throughout the final frame and earned a comfortable win. Djoko Salic (209-C-95) provided 18 points and 8 rebounds, while Aleksej Nikolic (185-G-95) added 16 points for the winners. Antreas Christodoulou (197-SF-95) replied with 15 points for Mas Mandoulides. Ioannis Kouzeloglou (202-F-95) had 14 points and 7 rebounds in defeat.

Banks left Panathinaikos - May 16, 2013

32-year old USA ex-international guard Marcus Banks (188-81, college: UNLV) left Panathinaikos Athens (A1). In 14 games he had 6.4ppg and 1.7rpg this season. He helped them to win the cup. Banks also played 21 games in Euroleague where he recorded 5.7ppg, 1.3rpg and 1.4apg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals.
