C.U.S. Chieti (A1) inked 27-year old Greek center Katerina Glyniadaki (196-86, college: Cal-Riverside). She played recently at Asteras in Greek A1 league. In 11 games this season she averaged 11.3ppg, 8.5rpg and 1.0apg.
The previous (10-11) season Glyniadaki played at the University of California, Riverside in Big West Conference in the NCAA.
Her team was regular season runner-up in Big West in 2009. Glyniadaki represented Greece at the European Championships U20 in Sopron seven years ago. Her stats at that event were 6 games: 1.5ppg, 1.5rpg.
She attended University of California, Riverside until 2012 and it will be her first season in pro basketball.

This week's number one is an international forward Artemis Spanou (188-93). Khadijah Shumpert claims Greek A1 weekly honour - 1 day ago
American Khadijah Shumpert (188-F/C-93) had a very impressive game in the last round for Panathlitikos and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10. The 23-year old power forward had a double-double of 30 points and fourteen rebounds, while her team beat Panionios (#10, 3-7) 72-58. Panathlitikos is placed at 5th position in Greek A1. The most important game in the last round took place in Lefkadas between third ranked Athinaikos (6-3) and eighth ranked Niki Lefkadas (5-5) on Sunday night. Athinaikos was defeated by Niki Lefkadas in a tough game on the road 69-74. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Athinaikos. Athinaikos was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 22-15 charge of Niki Lefkadas, which allowed them to win the game.
