Here is the weekly review of the top performing Greek players, who play currently abroad.

Kostas Koufos
Kostas Koufos
#1. This week's number one is former international center Kostas Koufos (213-89, college: Ohio St., currently plays in NBA). He was the major contributor in a Denver Nuggets' victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers (10-31) 98-91 in the NBA in Friday night's game. Koufos scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 35 minutes on the court. The Denver Nuggets have 24-17 record this season. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Koufos has relatively good stats this year: 8.1ppg, 6.4rpg, 1.5bpg and FT: 57.7% in the 40 games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Koufos played for the Greek senior national team two years ago. Strangely he has never played in Greece.

Loukas Mavrokefalidis
Loukas Mavrokefalidis
#2. Second place goes to former international center Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-84, currently plays in Eurocup), who plays in Russia. Mavrokefalidis could not help Spartak St.Petersburg (1-1) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the second-placed Spartak St.Petersburg was defeated 84-70 on the road by the leading Lokomotiv in the group K of Eurocup. Mavrokefalidis was the top scorer with 20 points. He also added 9 rebounds. There are only four games left until the end of the Eurocup Top 16. So now every game will be critical. This season Mavrokefalidis has relatively solid stats: 13.0ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 51.2% and FT: 71.4%. He played for the Greek national team in 2011.

Kostas Vasiliadis
Kostas Vasiliadis
#3. The Greek player who performed third best last week abroad was an international swingman Kostas Vasiliadis (200-84, agency: FCM, currently plays in Eurocup), who plays in Spain. Vasiliadis was not able to help Gescrap BB (0-2) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Gescrap BB (#4) was crushed 99-76 in Riga by the second-ranked VEF Riga in the group J of Eurocup. Vasiliadis was the top scorer with 20 points (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 37 minutes. There are only four games left until the end of the Eurocup Top 16. So now every game is very crucial. Vasiliadis has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.7ppg, 4.2rpg, 2.3apg, 1.3spg, 3FGP: 40.8% and FT: 86.7% in the six games.
