Babis
Samothrakis

Filathlitikos is finally the team which will end up int he first half of the league at the top seat after beating the top favorite team of AE Neas Kifisias in the derby of the week with 83-79 in an A1 level game. Babis Samothrakis was the MVP of the game and the main reason of the victory for Filathlitikos. On the other games we had the super road win of Ikaroi Serron in Lavrio after two overtimes with 87-89, the Agia Paraskevis victory in the derby against Koroivos Amaliadas in the other derby of the week. The road wins of Trikala in Pagrati in the 4th derby of the week and the victory of Arkadikos over Doxa Lefkadas while the derby between Irakleio and Niki Volou was postponed.

In more details the games were as follows:

Filathlitikos - Nea Kifisia 83-79
Periods: 21-24, 46-35, 64-54, 83-79
Waooo!! What a game, the first game the last many years that was live from the TV channel ET1 and all people saw the magnificent youngsters of Coach Zivas, against the maturity and experience of Coach Papatheodorou or actually his assistant Coach Theofilos Bekes since he got a penalty from the Basketball federation later this week and has to remain off the bench for five days!!! The game was a derby from the early beginning with the visiting site being better at the first part but home team with
Nikos Gikas and Christos Saloustros balancing the game and in the top period for the home team, the third period to increase the deficit to as many as 14 points against the up until this afternoon top seated team of Nea Kifisia. The fourth and final period was really amazing with both the teams fighting for the win and finally due to Babis Samothrakis three pointers and psychology to win the game. There is not really one MVP of the game since all the youngsters of the home team gave their best, even Kamperidis who played only some minutes in the court he had the passion and the mood to block the last three pointers by the newly entered the court Chatzinikolas on behalf of Nea Kifisia. A very good game also from Thanassis Adetokoumbo not only for his 11 points but also for his 10 rebounds, his 2 block shots and his 1 assist. At the end the amazing duet of Nikos Gikas and Babis Samothrakis who scored together 37 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists!! There are not many things to say, this duet can play in a higher level if only corrects a bt its defense...
Top Scorers:
Filathlitikos: Thanasi Adetokoumpo 11 and 10 rebounds,
Nikos Gikas 17 and 7 rebounds, Babis Samothrakis 20 and 6 assists, and Giannoulakos 16 and 6 rebounds
N. Kifisia: Moshovitis 11,
Vaggelis Karaboulas (198-F-81) 19, Sioutis 19 and Psathas 11

Pagrati - Trikala 69-80
Periods: 24-16, 35-37, 46-58, 69-80
Trikala's domination was in all edges of the court and right after the first 20 minutes the visitors showed their teeth to the home team and with
Sotiris Gioulekas (202-F-79) top performing game since he joined forces with the Trikala team, reached an easy victory over Pagrati who saw the two Vassilopoulos players remaining in a shallow waters.
Top Scorers:
PAgrati: Sklavos 15,
Nemanja Vranjes (188-G-88) 26
Trikala:
Sotiris Gioulekas 24, Charismidis 18, PapaChristos 22 and 10 rebounds

KAP - Koroivos Amaliadas 80-74
Periods: 21-22, 38-37, 57-59, 80-74
A great derby in Agia Paraskevi where the two teams were close to the score nearly in all 40 minutes of the game with Koroivos missing the chance to succeed an important road win since until the 34th minute was leading the game. Karidas was great but one of the top performers of the team, Magitombe was injured so without the necessary assistance from him and with Gkeros and Cosic in a low performances Koroivos did his best but finally
Kostas Vardavas (193-G-81) and his team-mates were more mature to grab the victory for their team..
Top Scorers:
KAP: Zervos 11,
Kostas Vardavas 21, Psileas 20 and 9 rebounds
Koroivos: Karidas 18, Kourtis 14, Tomic 14 and 10 rebounds, Tsocic 10

Lavrio - Ikaroi Serron 87-89 (67-67 & 75-75, the two overtimes
Periods: 25-20, 41-37, 55-52, 67-67, 75-75, 87-89
A great game took place in Lavrio with the visiting site of Coach Kamarakis grab a critical road win over Lavrio with Symeonidis being the man of the week in the A2 not only because of his 32 points but for his overall activity since he added 13 rebounds, 1 assist 2 steals and he won 7 fouls from his opponents in all 50 minutes he was in the court!!. Lavrio played this crucial game without its top scorer Kakiouzis who is injured.
Dionysios Giannakopoulos (195-G/F-82) did his best but without Kakiouzis the team of Coach Serelis is missing his ace not only in the scoring area but in the rebounding area too, with Kakiouzis in the court, Symeonidis would have had more competition....
Top scorers:
Lavrio: Tsiros 12,
Dionysios Giannakopoulos 27 and 7 assists, Psomaderis 12, Pashalis 18 and 11 rebounds
Ikaroi: Kapiniaris 12,
Filipp Simeonidis (204-F-80) 32, Nikoloudis 12

Arkadikos - Doxa Lefkadas 79-71
Periods: 20-24, 40-42, 60-55 and 79-71

Doxa's do or die game this week was more than obvious since the player of Coach Dimitris Papadopoulos enter in the court with a much more focused target and surprised the home team since for more than 25 minutes were leading the game, after that though Martzos who was the leading figure for the visitors got tired and since there was not real any other assistance in the scoring (with the exception being the veteran
Thodoris Panaras the rest in the Lefkadas team were lower than expected with Matic remaining to the 2 points.
Top Scorers:
Arkadikos:
Thodoris Tsiotras (198-G-87) 21, Gizogiannis 17, Sigkounas 12, Govas 12
Doxa Lefkadas:
Paraskeva Martzos 24, Thodoris Panaras 13
