The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Athens: Panathinaikos (#1) and Asteras (#8). Asteras was smashed at home by 27 points 48-75 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game was mostly controlled by Panathinaikos. Asteras managed to win third quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Asteras to just 7 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Asteras 39-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Panathinaikos looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Asteras' players. American power forward Diana Delva (188-88, college: Hartford) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. International guard Dimitra Kalentzou (174-78) contributed with 15 points, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Theodora Panteli (183-87, college: Binghamton) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for Asteras. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Panathinaikos (13-1) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position, which they share with Athinaikos and AO Ellinikou. Asteras lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Terpsithea. Panathinaikos is looking forward to face Kronos AD (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Asteras' supporters also look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Athens Olympiakos.
An interesting game for Athinaikos (13-1) which played road game in Thessaloniki against 4th ranked PAOK (9-5). Third ranked Athinaikos managed to get a 12-point victory 54-42. The former international guard Lolita Lymoura (180-85, agency: LBM Management) scored 9 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Afroditi Kosma chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Athinaikos' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Stavroula Spanidou (180-84) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Athinaikos have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Panathinaikos and AO Ellinikou. PAOK at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Athinaikos will play against bottom-ranked GAC Eunikos (#12) in Liosa in the next round which should be an easy win for them. PAOK will play on the road against Terpsithea (#9) in Glyfadas and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked GAC Eunikos is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 14th consecutive match to seventh ranked Kronos AD (7-7) 70-38 on Saturday evening. Jasmine Smith notched 26 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by Nikolina Ioannidou did not help to save the game for GAC Eunikos. GAC Eunikos' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Kronos AD moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ikaros Kalitheas and Aris. Loser GAC Eunikos still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Kronos AD will meet league's leader Panathinaikos in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. GAC Eunikos will play against the league's second-placed Athinaikos (#2) in Athens and hopes to get finally their first victory.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 14: AO Ellinikou smashed Panionios on the road 77-47. Ikaros Kalitheas won against Terpsithea on its own court 71-55. Aris managed to outperform Olympiakos in Thessaloniki 69-61.
The most impressive performance of 14th round was 13 points, 5 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals by Theoni Tzegianaki of Ikaros Kalitheas.

Panionios - AO Ellinikou 47-77

No shocking result in a game when second ranked AO Ellinikou (13-1) crushed 11th ranked Panionios (2-12) in Athens 77-47 on Sunday. The game without a history. AO Ellinikou led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. AO Ellinikou forced 30 Panionios turnovers and outrebounded them 36-21 including 24 on the defensive glass. The former international guard Tania Chalivera (178-85) notched 13 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Maria Roza Boni (180-86) supported her with 13 points. Even 14 points and 5 rebounds by guard Tonia Danousi (178-90) did not help to save the game for Panionios. Forward Zafiria Giabani (185-92) added 14 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AO Ellinikou have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Panathinaikos and Athinaikos. Loser Panionios keeps the eleventh place with 12 games lost. AO Ellinikou will meet at home Ikaros Kalitheas (#6) in the next round where they are favorite.
