There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with extra overtimes, derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most exciting game of round 15 in the A1 took place in Thessaloniki. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 7th ranked Aris (6-9) to fifth ranked AGOR (10-5) 73-71 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 24-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for Serbian guard Uros Duvnjak (190-86, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory scoring 36 points (!!!). American forward Brent Petway (204-85, college: Michigan) helped adding 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks. AGOR's coach Stergios Koufos used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was forward Antonis Asimakopoulos (203-76) with 12 points and 6 rebounds. AGOR have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 10-5 record. Aris at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Ikaros. AGOR are looking forward to face league's second-placed Panathinaikos in Athens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aris will play on the road against Ilysiakos (#12) in Athens and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Athens: Olympiacos (#1) and Panathinaikos (#2). Olympiacos (14-1) won against visiting Panathinaikos (12-3) 72-67. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Panathinaikos. It was an exceptional evening for international guard Vassilis Spanoulis (193-82, agency: Beo Basket) who led the winners and scored 11 points and 7 assists. Georgios Printezis accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds. The former international guard Dimitris Diamantidis (196-80) came up with 17 points and 6 assists for Panathinaikos in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-1 record. Panathinaikos at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Panionios. Olympiacos will play against Ikaros (#8) in Kalitheas in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Panathinaikos will play on the road against AGOR (#5) in Rethymno and hopes to get back on the winning track.
KAOD (#11) forced the game against Apollon Patras (#6) into an overtime, but lost by thirteen points 88-101 on Saturday night. The game took place in Dramas. But the guests from Patra were better at the end. The best player for the winners was Errick McCollum who scored 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Preston Knowles who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. KAOD's coach Giorgos Kalafatakis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Apollon Patras maintains sixth place with 7-8 record. Loser KAOD dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Apollon Patras will meet at home Peristeri GS (#10) in the next round. KAOD will play against PAOK in Thessaloniki and hope to secure a win.
The game in Kalitheas was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked PAOK (11-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Ikaros (6-9). PAOK managed to secure a 5-point victory 85-80. It was a good game for Mihalis Tsairelis who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). PAOK maintains fourth place with 11-4 record. Ikaros lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. PAOK's next round opponent will be KAOD (#11) in Dramas and are hoping to win another game. Ikaros will play on the road against the league's leader Olympiacos (#1) in Athens.
Important game to mention about took place in Kavala. Thirteenth ranked Kavala (4-11) saved a 2-point derby victory at home edging 14th ranked Panelefsiniakos (3-12) 68-66 in the fight for the thirteenth place. It was a great evening for William Coleman who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Kavala maintains thirteenth place with 4-11 record. Newly promoted Panelefsiniakos stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Kavala will face higher ranked Panionios (#3) in Athens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Panelefsiniakos will play at home against Kolossos (#9) in Rodou.

In the last two games of round 15 Ilysiakos lost to Kolossos on the opponent's court 63-71. Peristeri GS was outscored by Panionios in a home game 69-91.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists by Nikos Pappas of Panionios.

Olympiacos - Panathinaikos 72-67

Kolossos - Ilysiakos 71-63

There was a minor upset in Rodou where 9th ranked Ilysiakos (5-10) was defeated by twelfth ranked Kolossos (5-10) 71-63 on Saturday. Ilysiakos was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 24-14 charge of Kolossos, which allowed them to win the game. They made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Ilysiakos was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American center LaRon Dendy (205-88, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: David Lee services) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Marcus Hatten (186-80, college: St.John's) helped adding 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American point guard Terrell Stoglin (185-91, college: Maryland) with 21 points and Nigerian-American forward Aloysius Anagonye (203-81, college: Michigan St.) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Ikaros was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. PAOK made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Ikaros helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for power forward Mihalis Tsairelis (207-88) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). point guard Kostas Haralampidis (189-76) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Five PAOK players scored in double figures. Guard Alexis Kiritsis (198-82) answered with 23 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Danny Gibson (180-84, college: S.Indiana) added 23 points in the effort for Ikaros. PAOK maintains fourth place with 11-4 record. Ikaros lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. KAOD (#11) forced the game against Apollon Patras (#6) into an overtime, but lost by thirteen points 88-101 on Saturday night. The game took place in Dramas. But the guests from Patra were better at the end. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 20-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 25-12. Apollon Patras made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. Strangely KAOD outrebounded Apollon Patras 52-40 including a 22-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American point guard Errick McCollum (185-88, college: Goshen, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) who scored 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import Keaton Grant (193-86, college: Purdue) chipped in 28 points and 6 rebounds. Very predictable result in Athens where third ranked Panionios (12-3) smashed 10th ranked Peristeri GS (5-10) 91-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Panionios. Peristeri GS was better in fourth quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Panionios looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for the former international guard Nikos Pappas (195-90, agency: FCM) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Landon Milbourne (201-87, college: Maryland, agency: Three Eye Sports) helped adding 24 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was point guard Nontas Papantoniou (190-90) with 14 points and 5 assists and American point guard Dwight Thorne (190-88, college: Colorado) scored 12 points. Five Peristeri GS players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Panionios have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Panathinaikos. Peristeri GS lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Panionios will face Kavala (#13) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Aris - AGOR 71-73

The most exciting game of round 15 in the A1 took place in Thessaloniki. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 7th ranked Aris (6-9) to fifth ranked AGOR (10-5) 73-71 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 24-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for Serbian guard Uros Duvnjak (190-86, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory scoring 36 points (!!!). American forward Brent Petway (204-85, college: Michigan) helped adding 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks. AGOR's coach Stergios Koufos used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was forward Antonis Asimakopoulos (203-76) with 12 points and 6 rebounds and Bosnian guard Muhamed Pasalic (192-87) scored 13 points and 5 assists. Four Aris players scored in double figures. AGOR have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 10-5 record. Aris at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Ikaros. AGOR are looking forward to face league's second-placed Panathinaikos in Athens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aris will play on the road against Ilysiakos (#12) in Athens and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
