Diana Delva
American power forward Diana Delva (188-F/C-88) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Panathinaikos, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 18 rebounds, while her team crushed Panionios (#11, 2-16) with 21-point margin 78-57. It allowed Panathinaikos to consolidate first place in the Greek A1. Panathinaikos has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 17-1. It's Delva's second year at Panathinaikos and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Former University of Hartford star has very solid stats this year. Delva is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.1ppg. Delva is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.0rpg) and averages impressive 65.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old Roula Mouli (177-G-85) of Aris. Mouli had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Aris cruised to a 59-47 relatively comfortable win over GAC Eunikos (#12, 0-18). Despite this victory Aris slide down in the standings to 6th position. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But 10-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Mouli is one of the most experienced players at Aris and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was SCGn guard Tania Chalivera (178-G-85) of league's second-best AO Ellinikou. Chalivera showcased her all-around game by recording 17 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. She was a key player of AO Ellinikou, leading her team to a 74-64 win against the lower-ranked Kronos AD (#7, 9-9). AO Ellinikou is closer and closer to the top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 16-2 record is not that bad... Chalivera has a very solid season. In 17 games in Greece she scored 9.5ppg. She also has 7.5rpg, 2.5spg and FGP: 59.5%. Tania Chalivera has also Greek passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

Other top performing players last week:

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
