Diana Delva
American Diana Delva (188-F/C-88) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Panathinaikos and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 24-year old power forward had a double-double of 22 points and fifteen rebounds, while her team beat Terpsithea (#9, 6-13) 60-48. It allowed Panathinaikos to consolidate first place in the Greek A1. Panathinaikos has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 18-1. It's Delva's second year at Panathinaikos and it's hard to imagine this team without her. University of Hartford graduate has very impressive stats this year. Delva is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.2ppg and leads league in rebounds with 11.2rpg. Delva is in league's top in and averages solid 65.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 23-year old Bosnia and Herzegovina center Aleksandra Begenisic (193-C-89) of Aris. Begenisic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds. It was enough for Aris to edge slightly lower-ranked Kronos AD (#7, 9-10) by 5 points 55-50. Aris' 6th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But 11-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Begenisic is a newcomer at Aris and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was former international forward Niki Zerva (183-F-79) of Olympiakos (#10). Zerva scored 18 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Zerva's great performance Olympiakos lost 48-55 to the higher-ranked PAOK (#4, 13-6). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Olympiakos can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 5-14 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Zerva she does not play for a better team. But maybe if she did, her season stats would not be that high. Zerva has individually a great season in Greece. After 18 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.7ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 10.3rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Nena Nikolaidou (190-C/F-79) of Kronos AD - 14 points and 12 rebounds
5. Theodora Panteli (183-F-87) of Asteras - 12 points and 16 rebounds
6. Jasmine Erving (187-C-90) of Ikaros Kalitheas - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Breanna Brock (187-F-90) of AO Ellinikou - 14 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Stefania Sideri (178-G-94) of GAC Eunikos - 17 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Alexia Botsari (175-G-83) of Terpsithea - 10 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists
10. Dimitra Giannopoulou (184-F-84) of PAOK - 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
