Former international forward Georgios Printezis (206-F-85, agency: FCM) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Olympiacos, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 19. The 27-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, four rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Kavala (#11, 5-14) with 18-point margin 94-76. It allowed Olympiacos to consolidate first place in the Greek A1. Olympiacos has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 18-1. It's Printezis' second year at Olympiacos and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Georgios Printezis has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 14.6ppg) and averages impressive 71.1% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old Croatian Zoran Vrkic (200-G-87) of Ikaros. Vrkic had a very good evening with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course Ikaros cruised to a 88-79 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Peristeri GS (#13, 5-14). Ikaros' 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-11 record. Vrkic is a newcomer at Ikaros, but is already one of team's top players.
Third on the list of top players last round was another Olympiacos' star - international forward Kostas Papanikolaou (206-F-90). Papanikolaou scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He was another key player of Olympiacos, helping his team with a 94-76 easy win against the lower-ranked Kavala (#11, 5-14). Many experts and fans count Olympiacos as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 18 victories and only one lost games. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Papanikolaou has a very solid season. In 19 games in Greece he scored 9.9ppg. He also has 4.3rpg, FGP: 72.5% and 3PT: 45.8%.

He helped them to win the cup. Great season indeed as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League 1st Team and All-Imports Team. Perkins also played 19 games in Euroleague where he averaged 9.5ppg, 5.4rpg, 3.6apg and 1.7spg (in top 5). The list of the past achievements is quite long as Perkins received Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Player of the Year award and Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Import Player of the Year award back in 2009. He is quite experienced player. Perkins has played also professionally in Belgium (Bree), Germany (EWE Baskets), Japan (Toyota Alvark) and Israel (Maccabi Haifa). He attended Santa Clara University until 2005 and it is his eighth season as a professional player. The scouts decsribe him following way:
A good point guard, who is able to run the offense at any tempo and is very effective at the defnsive side. Can score in penetration, steals lots of balls, he's a very good rebounder for his size. He should improve his outside shooting, however, to become a top league material.

They improved their record to 25-1. In the team's last game Printezis had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Olympiacos and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Printezis has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 13.7ppg) and averages solid 70.3% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Marc Antonio Carter (191-G-85) of AGOR. He is American guard in his first season at AGOR. In the last game Carter recorded impressive 28 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. It was enough for AGOR to edge the lower-ranked Kavala (#14, 5-21) by 2 points 82-80. AGOR's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 17-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Carter is a newcomer at AGOR and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Nikos Liakopoulos (189-PG-83, agency: FCM) of Panelefsiniakos (#11). Liakopoulos scored 17 points and passed eleven assists (!!!). Despite Liakopoulos' great performance Panelefsiniakos lost 77-101 to slightly higher-ranked KAOD (#9, 11-15). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Panelefsiniakos can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 7-19 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Liakopoulos he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Liakopoulos has individually a great season in Greece. After 26 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.3ppg (4th best) and assists with 4.7apg (3rd best).

The Regular Season in A1 just ended. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with derby games and games ending by tiny margin.

The best player for the winners was Landon Milbourne who scored 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Panionios maintains third position with 20-6 record having five points less than leader Olympiacos. Ikaros at the other side dropped to the seventh place with 14 games lost. The game in Patra was also quite interesting. Second ranked Panathinaikos (22-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Apollon Patras (11-15). The most impressive performance of 26th round was 28 points and 8 rebounds by Marc Antonio Carter of AGOR.
