A2 top team - Filathlitikos (16-3) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked Agia Paraskevis (9-10) 88-76. The game was mostly controlled by Filathlitikos. Agia Paraskevis managed to win fourth quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Agia Paraskevis 38-25 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Nikos Gikas (186-91, agency: FCM) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Forward Giannis Adetokubo (206-94, agency: FCM) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Vangelis Tsiakas (194-81) answered with 25 points for Agia Paraskevis. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Filathlitikos have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Filathlitikos maintains first place with 16-3 record, which they share with Nea Kifisia. Agia Paraskevis at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Pagrati. Filathlitikos is looking forward to face OFI (#12) in Heraklion in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Agia Paraskevis will play at home against Irakleio (#11) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Koroivos (12-7) and Irakleio (6-13), which took place in Irakleio. 4th placed Koroivos lost to eleventh ranked Irakleio in a road game 56-61. It was a great evening for Montenegrin forward Bojan Pelkic (206-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Kostas Agapiadis helped adding 13 points. At the losing side Croatian guard Petar Cosic (186-85, agency: Interperformances) responded with 18 points. Newly promoted Irakleio maintains eleventh place with 6-13 record. Koroivos at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Ikaroi Serron. Irakleio will play against higher ranked Agia Paraskevis (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Koroivos will play against the league's second-placed Nea Kifisia having rather not much hope for a victory.
The game between 8th ranked Pagrati (9-10) and tenth ranked Arkadikos (7-12) in Athens on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Arkadia beat Pagrati 73-58. It was a quality performance for Thodoris Tsiotras who led the winners and scored 25 points. Vaggelis Sklavos came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds for Pagrati in the defeat. Arkadikos moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Ermis Lagkada. Loser Pagrati dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Agia Paraskevis. Arkadikos will meet at home higher ranked Lavrio (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pagrati will play against Niki Volou in NIki Volou and hope to secure a win.

Other games in round 19 were not that significant. OFI was beaten by Lavrio on the road 61-49. Ikaroi Serron won against Doxa Lefkadas on its own court 76-69. Bottom-ranked Niki Volou unfortunately lost to Trikalla in Trikallon 68-81. Nea Kifisia managed to beat Ermis Lagkada at home 63-54.
The most impressive performance of 19th round was 24 points and 15 rebounds by Savvas Manousos of Doxa Lefkadas.

Lavrio - OFI 61-49

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Lavrio (11-8) beat at home 12th ranked OFI (5-14) 61-49 on Saturday. Ikaroi Serron - Doxa Lefkadas 76-69

Very expected game when 13th ranked Doxa Lefkadas (4-15) lost to fifth ranked Ikaroi Serron (12-7) in Serres 69-76 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Doxa Lefkadas won fourth quarter 22-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Trikalla - Niki Volou 81-68

Very predictable result when third ranked Aiolos Trikallon (15-4) won against at home bottom-ranked Niki Volou (4-15) 81-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Aiolos Trikallon. Niki Volou managed to win fourth quarter 23-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aiolos Trikallon made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Aiolos Trikallon outrebounded Niki Volou 39-28 including 24 on the defensive glass.
